It's a practical issue. If you've used Claude's web chat, you know it rate limits quite easily, especially when they are at peak visits. I don't know how many people use arena.ai on a daily basis, but judging by the 2.4 million estimate that was shown before, I would imagine it's a decent amount. So, if we give a random number of 10,000 people concurrently use arena.ai, that's 10,000 people consistently bombarding an API that is very easily rate limited.

The problem with the AIs that exist is that the majority is garbage for code. Any AI code can do. It is a text generator.
To be able to make something work. It's still very difficult for 95% of the ideas. That's why it's not worth it

So I’m curious about what makes models run differently on Arena vs elsewhere. I have a Claude sub but had still preferred using Claude on arena (same model too) before they removed it, because the responses were constantly way better than using it on Claude’s site. The creativity, ability to fill in context, and using less of the annoying writing quirks, were totally obvious.

Wondering what it is that might have caused that? Amount of compute? Something else? Any chance the version on arena was tweaked even tho that’s against the rules?
