I think the most common issue is Google API returning errors from too much traffic. The thing with that is that while you are waiting, someone else may take the spot and then you get errors again if you're unlucky

Their API rate limit errors usually clear within like 30 to 60sec. Doesn't take very long, but obviously it's impossible to tell when is the time lol

yeah there should be. Comparing 3.1 Flash against 3.0 Pro... you would need actual testing for your use-cases tbh. It's possible that for certain prompts newer could be better, but Pro still gonna have more capacity being the bigger model
