I guess if it does not work that way then another possible solution could be feeding the image to gpt5 and let it formalize a good and very detailed enough prompt to keep all the details the same as in the comic style image and then feed it to nanobanana without the original comic style reference image but with just a very similar prompt with all the small details to design to create a totally new image in photorealistic cinematic colors
