Unfortunately, I do not have a before and after effect to provide. However, I left the game for approximately 30 mins and upon my return my Springfield was not as I left it. Everything seems to have shifted towards the pier and everything at the pier compressed into a minefield of decorations and buildings.

Time to rebuild... β˜’οΈπŸ’£πŸ’₯

I have never seen this before. If you haven't nuked yet, can you export your town file on the #🏠︱town-tool and send it here please so we can check if it's a save file issue or an app issue

so ive discovered this issue theres apparantly 4 tile blocks in the original save that has no terrain assigned to it ie ocean or land

this is a bug ea left in the game

Played the game this morning and all was well. Came back tonight and the whole town has random concrete and roads everywhere. This was grass this morning.

I rolled back to a previous save, prior to buying the extra new land/water tiles. All seems back to normal now.

Unfortunately I nuked mine before anyone asked for the file. I didn't think to save the broken one. The original and shifted version were gone by the time I looked for it in the recovery page.

Mine was also a new account, sadly I wasn't able to find my old account. Doesn't matter to me now because I've far surpassed my old Springfield.

I'm having the same problem, updated on the 31st, bought the extra land and this morning it's all been shifted around. The earliest snap i can restore is from the 31st May and it's all shifted already. Anything else i can do? this town is from 2012 and is now useless, there's no way I can shift all that stuff around, i would just give up at this point...

Can you send the town file here so they can take a look? I know they wanted it from the OP here but they had already nuked the town

i guess the only solution would be to make older snapshots from the 30th available, but if they've already been deleted from the server i don't see how this can be fixed...anyway thx for the help

The devs may have more backups. I have no idea, so I dont want to promise too much. If you found the town on the Spanser website originally, atleast the original town will still be there, you'd only lose the progress you made on this server. Worst case scenario though

ok maybe in the meantime they should send out a warning not to buy the new land until it's fixed...(unless it's already been fixed)

You have to wait until Bod is online again. It seemed it had to be implemented manually and individually, but I dont have more info than that

I don't remember specifically. But I was certainly building and expanding before it shifted. I just don't know if I bought anything immediately before the shift.
I know that I still had lots of land locked.
