#Ability to reduce the bonus donut rewards that have been added post shutdown

In the last couple months, the amount of donuts given as a reward for completing tasks seems to have dramatically increased. Instead of getting a handful of donuts, I'm getting what seems like dozens.

It would be nice to be able to reduce this or turn off the bonus donuts entirely, as I personally feel it destroys the flow of the game. Especially if you have the buildings that generate donuts. I'm sure there are plenty of people that prefer the additional donuts, so having the ability to control this as opposed to just turning it off would be nice.

It looks like the donut mech gives 60 donuts now, as opposed to 6. Lard Lad donut Factory and the Lard Lad Shop also award 60 donuts.

I believe they used to be 6, so it seems like they're giving 10x what they used to

Well, if you have to much donuts, use the towntool to decrease your amount or simply do not spend them. In EA-time we where almost constantly running out of donuts, some had to spend real money to get some. Nowadays donuts are around like thick flys, but it's better to have than lagging them.

I actually would like the increased donut rewards to be reduced back to original as well.

What is even the point if we can add however many donuts we want via the dashboard? 😄

To be fair, the original amounts were laughably miniscule. 3 whole donuts every 24 hours. With that, you could buy 3 whole fences!

We could try and come up with a better balance though.

Well, mayby i would think different if were not playing since about ten year, were not Level 939 for years now. In the end, as far as i remember, i was able to earn about donuts/Day with the "hardlimit" of cash. During an Event you needed some donuts, but i could earn even donuts than i had to spend. So donuts have no longer been a problem to me. To be honest, i see no need to chance the current System, to less is always there, much is never gone.

I agree, mayby it's better with less donuts earned. If you really need more, you still have the towntool or can buy donuts with ingame money. In the end, it does not matter to me. But we should ask someone else for their opinion.

OK, you are right, to spend Money you have have money, and at a low level earning money is hard work. So, yes, easy earning of donuts is helping all players at low levels, and in the end, it does not hurt players at higher levels. So hellrider might have a point, but leaving this point will not really harm him. If he thinks he has to many donuts, he could use towntool. If there is a way to make the earning of donuts adjustible it might be helpful for some players. But i guess, for other players, it makes the game only too complex, and to be honest, most of us are lucky when they receive a donut. So i am fine when you leave it the way it is richtig now 👍

This is also a way to give you the option to not KEM farm and have more space for designing.

This is definitely fair.

My main thought here is that the current donut reward feels so high that it cheapens the sense of progression. If every day I get 150+ donuts by default, it means buying stuff with donuts isn't special.

And, like you said, players don't want to use the town tool all the time, and I'd prefer to not have to come in and remove them consistently.

Is this the kind of thing we could get a toggle for?

I think, EA made earning donuts so hard because they wanted to sell donuts for cash, not they wanted the people to build pretty towns, thats was never their first goal, even if they told otherwise. If you looked throught the towns, in every case you find "XP-farms", my town still has several of them. They knew on that, remember the Dialogs at the end of the game.

So the Intention of the new team is focused on pretty towns, so with many donuts they give the people the chance to do so. Unicorn is the extrem version of this vision. I like the idea, when winter comes i might find time to clean up my town.

So, if it is easy to program such a toogle, mayby they can do, to spending more than 5 minutes on this is quite useless, i would definitiv prefer, if that "friendship dementia" could cured. In the old days i had about a hundred of them, most of them no longer activ for months or years but still offering ideas how to build your town. People keep asking for further zoomout, so i gues the want have an overview on what they are building. To build, you need donuts, so they are easy to get, lets build a town.

The thing is, players don't need to be fed donuts. Everybody can go buy donuts in the shop, for cash in game, whenever they want. It's literally in store.
