Really? I've been using my desk for around a year or so and I haven't noticed any differences

it isnt a huge difference except in like comp fps games, and your skates will always get a little scratched up a little but it will damage it much quicker to use on the desk, which will realistically only make your mouse a bit less fluid

the scratches increase friction minorly or smth
