“New” custom game mode

Make a sub tier game mod of old kb (no blast prot). We need to bring back pingpong/butterfly crystals. It’s would be so much fun. I need the og clips with 10 butterfly crystals + shield brake.

i think it would be less fun than you may imagine though, the mechanical level of the community is much higher and low skill is partly what made oldkb fun

the most fun kb for the current mechanical skill is single blast prot / 1.19.4 imo

it allows for high variety plays

keeps the opponent close enough for crazy combos

but far enough for crazy combos

I think mace being banned is iffy but itd what allows motr rockets

I dont think dbp adds much skill tbh. Maybe if dtaps were based on skill and less on you and your opponents ping that'd make it better but the loss of chains is just egh to me

it’s just i like things being done “proper” and allat, and i think any kit regulations done for “fun” or whatever in the “vanilla” kit is not proper

so banning dbp for fun (or more specifically in pvptier’s case - playercount) disqualifies it as the vanilla kit

and i think that vanilla is better than “cpvp”

I don't see why a cpvp kit can't be better then a vanilla kit based on your logic

essentially because a “vanilla” kit is better in terms of assessing skill with no kit restrictions, which is what it would be in a funtional multiplayer environment when people are left to their own devices

a “kit” for cpvp specifically is like axe or sword - not for the multiplayer environment and only with set kit rules

so i find it silly to have a custom kit for a specific kit

since that is inherently contradictory
