#About items / kits

I would recommend this^^
I am by no means a crystal expert, so I won't comment on the specifics, but some items are banned for good reasons
Allowing all vanilla items except for a blacklist would be neat though
interested in what @rocky wraith thinks about this
We are looking over the specifics of the vanilla kit guidelines, but the one thing I can assure you is that many items will remain banned. Kit guidelines are necessary so that players aren't trapped in unenjoyable situations that aren't related to anyone's PVP skill, such as hiding with invis or endless running.
I share the perspective of allowing more freedom with kits though, since creativity in playstyle/items is one of the most interesting parts of the VTL
Unranked take:
Those rules are to make fights less stupid (weakness arrows are rendered useless when you can pull out strength pots)
Or complete stalling items (watch tlist fights with milk 😭)
If anything I want to know if echests are allowed. Pulling out counters to tactics such as weaknesses arrows from your echest would be nice
Echests are allowed in drain, but other than that they can't be used because otherwise fights would take 5 hours.
I think that Ranked should stray from tlist rules only if said rules make testing worse, and if they make testing better keep them in
That's my lukewarm take of the day
Have the developers addressed the eval vs high tier kit/gameplay implementation
I just watched swight'ss low tier 2 defense
It took 20 minutes
Not sure, I remember it was discussed at some point.
I was watching crey vs marlow a bit earlier
It took 3 hours
😭 i would LOVE to know how they're cooking this
We must wait our time
Most of the banned items are banned because of stalling. Some matches still take over an hour even with the current kit requirements.
A lot of people don't have time to sit through a 1+ hour game / don't enjoy it.
Aren't you allowed to use any item in Minecraft that isn't banned?
True, if you play on a server that doesn't have an item you like to use, I'd recommend joining their discord server and opening a ticket and requesting the item/s with a reason for each item.
I see, I like the idea of allowing any item to be accessible, but I think the banned items should stay banned.
