This is a more complicated in practice than it would seem. Suppose I fight someone who cheats and beats me, lowering my rating, and then I fight someone else, and fairly beat them. My rating was wrongly lower for the second fight due to the loss to the cheater, so the second opponent lost more rating than he should have. Do we refund him too?

I don't think 1 match rating loss should make that big of a difference, but maybe you could recalculate the correct rating loss, given the refunded rating

There could be multiple games after someone plays a cheater, where they’re playing multiple people. The cheater also has an entire play history. Do we refund everyone the cheater olayed against? What about the people who beat the cheater?

My thoughts are that we should have a policy for high test and low test is unfortunately complicated prevention methods of cheating are our best bet unless a better solution appears

I agree with this, we should at least tell players that if a player they reported recently was punished. Always feels good to see lol

If people see that then they will keep reporting cheaters

They won't do it if they get no feedback
