Game crashing

Hello. I just bought the game and it appears to be crashing whenever it tries to render an air block.

ive tried the fixes on the help page

can you describe in a little detail the steps you tried already? how did you update your drivers, and did you disable any advanced settings on nvidia?

i reset the nvidia settings to default, i verified the integrity of the steam files, i updated my drivers the other day so i dont think thats the problem, and i also tried directly running the file outside of steam

ive also tried uninstalling the game completely

do you think this is an issue on my device or an issue with the game?

your device, this looks like a driver issue

but id double check the specific nvidia settings too -- the defaults might be bad, like if they have advanced options such as fps booster enabled for example

i tried updating my drivers, and my default settings look fine, they work fine on other games too

restarting my computer after updating the graphics didnt help either

unfortunately im not sure, its most likely a GPU / driver issue but there isn't enough information to see exactly what the issue is

the crashlog says it failed trying to render the air icon?

there's nothing special about the air block, it's just the first frame that the game renders (which is why faulty drivers or configurations crash there)

could you tell me what settings in the control panel might cause the game to crash?

sorry, i don't know of particular settings that crash, besides anti-lag or super-resolution

forcing the game to use opengl worked

it might be a vulkan issue

sorry for the ping, but ive been playing the game for a while and im just wondering how bad the visual errors might be without vulkan

i cant really tell if there are visual errors are they are just intended artifacts of the games surreal nature

ok got it. ive tried a lot of different methods i still cant seem to get the game running at all with vulkan. it looks really cool and i want to play it without serious visual bugs, do you have any recommendations to what else i could try
