this looks like it could be a steam cloud issue, nothing in the game actively deletes any files

Yes. There is a folder labelled "qualia".
hmm i'm not sure:( 3 files in there were marked as "deleted" manually, then the biggest one just looks like a bunch of whitespace.....
can you open this "register.txt" and see what it shows inside?

this is really strange, it looks like just a repeating null character :( did the game crash or close during loading at some point? could you share the crash logs (see pinned post for how to get them)

ahh :( it looks like at some point, the game closed while it was saving and this could have corrupted the save file (it would print "file saved" if done)
unfortunately i don't think there is a way to recover it since the files are full of junk data now... i can help you cheat some of the items you had without losing progression though, if you would like that

Ah, I appreciate it. I think I'll try frankensteining some headers together to see if I can maybe recover the world first. If not, I'll just create a new Qualia. Thanks for the help! 😄
