Just the concept that Darkness doesn't have to be a bad thing, I'll probably build on this initial idea over time

Maybe in complete darkness you get some buff or good effect, or maybe just some text on the screen that lets you know you can feel an entity softly embracing you in the dark and it feels ok, or something like that
I think it's also nice to leave that entity a mystery

it could be like a blessing from whatever being lives in absolute darkness that one day you just wake up with!
and maybe it could be combined with another item later in the game to make it better too
maybe in absolute sunlight with this blessing you need like sunglasses to see ok, otherwise you hallucinate and have to kill hallucinations or something

yea, often i find myself going into the wilderness at night to look for animals and its nice and not scary, and a lot sandbox games almost never have good darkness, you can see everything, they should also add like a source of light that you can carry

I feel like you should have to try to get absolute darkness, cause it's hard to get irl too, I only ever experienced it once, in a photography class a few years ago, and there was one room whose entire purpose was darkness
