Maybe I was just used to them, but I liked the sound effects from the previous version. They were more "chill" / "happy".

I don't really enjoy the new bonza controls. It was really sleek before but now it's clunky. I feel like I'm constantly accidentally dragging the whole screen away instead of the pieces.

I'm also not sure if there was a change to the controls of shapes but I feel like it's become harder to move the shapes without turning them suddenly

Bonza: we're keeping an eye on this. There’s a possibility we can add more zoom settings in future versions to help restore the old view.

Shapes: yes, controls changed a bit - you can now tap and rotate at the same time (previously, you had to choose one or the other in settings). There’s also a new ‘tap to place’ setting, and we’ve improved hitboxes and selections to help avoid picking up new pieces while rotating the current one.

  • it sounds like this last change may have had a bigger impact than expected, we’ll be monitoring it for now. If it’s getting in the way of your gameplay, please let us know!

Also noted your feedback on the sounds, we may ask a few more questions on that soon meow_salute

Okay I think some of those things are better but I think it might've introduced some other issues at the same time. Need more playtime to say for sure!

Keysmash feels too easy so far. I think maybe the definitions should be behind the hint feature rather than shown by default. One thought I had is to show the theme up front, but hide the definitions

About Keysmash #5 and yes spoilers ahead ||HSTT: I feel like the clue given (Felt unsure or perhaps doubtful) didn’t fit the form of the word we were searching for. I would associate Hesitant (adjective) with this definition more than hesitate (verb)||

But cases where you have less than half the letters (the two letter clues mainly) are the toughest!

Sharing all of these with the team, I'm just trying not to interfere too much here as to not influence you! But I admit I felt the same way about Keysmash #5

Usually game like this don't treat Y as a vowel, so I wasn't expecting it either. I'd prefer if multiple answers were accepted on cases when it's appropriate.

I also echo the issue with Hesitate from earlier. Making the clue match the tense of the answer is standard in crosswords and I expected it to follow here.

The only clue that it could be used to me was the fact that it was highlighted and not "greyed" out. Only the vowels and consonants that can be used are highlighted.

the keyboard is also an interesting one.. how do you feel about the keys being highlighted? (something helpful as in this case or rather spoiling the experience)

I didn't really notice the highlighting of the keys. That may have helped with the Y situation

  • I don’t know if this is just me but I do prefer the old bonza mechanism and the auto zoom. Also keep dragging the screen accidentally when I meant to drag a set of letters..
  • I know others have said they don’t like the singular letters in bonza but I do ahaha makes it a lil tricky - perhaps a hard and easy version like we have w sudoku & constellations?
  • I do get a little annoyed in sudoku when I’ve already filled in a spot, and I accidentally fill it in again with another number, it marks it as wrong & ruins my streak. Maybe an option to lock in an answer?
  • Clicking on one of the top boxes in the middle column in Sudoku keeps also clicking on the pause button
  • I’m actually finding key master pretty difficult I don’t know how ppl are finding it easy it’s prolly my hardest game!! But it’s a fun idea overall and I like it

this isn't a suggestion but more of a question, i'm assuming this is replacing when the hint wouldn't give anything? does this mean that i'm not crazy and it comes to a point where there is no logical deductions and it's essentially trial and error to see "if i put this here then this will do this which means i'd have to do this etc"? or am i just doing it in a wrong order/ way so it ruins it which is why i don't get any more logical deductions?

  • Bonza had a much bigger collection? Is there a reason why most of em are gone? It was 14/15 chapters I believe with around 4-6 in each, so there was a minimum of 56. There's now only 4 collections with 6 each so only 24. Unfortunate since it's one of my favourites :(

  • Bonza zoom/drag - we have some improvements in mind that may address this in the future, monitoring feedback for now
  • Sudoku + pause button + accidental mistakes - I get that as well 🥲 - the pause button is reported, to be fixed; lock cell suggestions shared with the team

To your questions:

  • Constellations hints - you're not doing anything wrong 🤗 Previously, the game was running out of (easy) hints to suggest, which could block the player from continuing. Now it reveals a star when that happens, so you can finish the puzzle. However, it doesn't mean there's no logical deduction - there is usually one at each step. Some just may be more difficult to explain and the team is still working on implementing advanced strategy hints (next game version I believe).
  • Bonza Collections - thank you for bringing that up, it has slipped through the cracks. Similar to Sudoku - we are changing the way we do Collections and they will be more focused from now on. Puzzles from the old collections may resurface as new dailies or featured in other collections - to be confirmed. We'll make sure to flag such changes in advance, sorry for missing that one!

smol update from the team - we do count Y as a vowel (Keysmash) and will try to clarify that in the tutorial on the next version

Today’s Keysmash #8 was really fun! ||Besides being in a wallet, it felt like walking through the social media landscape 😂. It could be fun to bring it back as a “Flashback” in five years or so!||

I like the idea to spread out the sudoku digits so that we don't accidentally hit the wrong one a million times. The problem I have is that the change to notation button (which I don't really love anyways) is right next to the hint button and now I accidentally press the hint button constantly

Also when you undo after accidentally replacing a correct digit with a wrong one, it doesn't put back the correct digit.

If that's a glitch then maybe I should make a thread about that but I thought it was intentional until just stating it in writing.

I was solving the Keysmash #9 puzzle and I thought only the letters you need for that word are highlighted but maybe it’s the letters needed for ALL of the words are highlighted (the image below contains spoilers)
