Blurry textures

It's my first time playing the game, my specs meet the requirements. It all looked fine when I first loaded in, I distributed the first survivor (in the tutorial) and when I opened the distribution tab for the second survivor the textures suddenly looked sluggish (as displayed in the image).

Base ones. I opened the settings and upon returning to the game they did look a bit better.

Though I hadn't made any changes.

I am unsure whether the bruises are meant to be this blurry.

I was able to recreate it. When you hold C (instead of just pressing it once) it refreshes the distribution tab, which can lead to this issue.

I got the same issue when I held C.. Just opening and closing the setting didn't fix this, but if I adjust something and revert it back, then F to apply (even if nothing changed), that'll fix this issue~

i had motion blur off at the start of my game, once this problem occurs, motion blur was on for some reason, i turned it back off and saved and it solved it

i found that for some unholy reason putting it in windowed fixed it entirely

We sent the bug in the same time, probably I'll delete mine.
Had the same issue but it happened to me differently.
I was on the contribution tab and pressed twice the symptoms button and it happened.
You can see on my video, it only solved to change (or change and then back) the upscale type setting. Otherwise I dont have this error.

I also have this issue, for me it's happening when pressing C, not every time, just randomly.. for me it helps to just change motion blur settings, but would be great if the game just didn't do it (and yes, I really have to change the settings, for it to dissapear..)

We are aware of this, and are working on a fix this week. As a bandaid try to change your graphic settings, that should reset it!

Can confirm, messing with the "reflections" setting fixed it for me as well
Change -> apply with F -> (optional) put back to your original setting -> apply with F

So I figured out the trigger for this for me: holding C instead of just pressing it. If it fast cycles through symptoms it gets triggered.

Guess i'm not the only one with the Blurry textures. Looks like alot of others have it

My Rig is AMD 9950X3D, RTX 5090, Latest drivers.
Hope that the devs can maybe use some of this info to trobleshoot the issue.
Now i just need to get better at spotting the sick. As i seem to let in the wrong folks as i don't got room in the Quarantine block.

I have played for a bit more now and I have figured out that turning your reflections all the way to low will make the blurry texture happen way less unless you spam the c button multiple times

i also get this blurryness when i play abit it doesnt happen at first then maybe 10-15 mins in and it starts to happen it also resets my settings when it goes blurry

I also get blurry settings when I get reflex slapped by someone. Its fixed just opening settings but yeah

I am also having blurry issues, the symptoms and other settings are clear just the gameplay part is blurry. Didn't happen for me until day 14, makes the xray unusable for me

Don’t press C to go into conditions

Press tab and go to it that way

I started having that problem after 4 hours of gameplay. It went away for a bit after going into video settings, it came back short after. I'm about to restart the game.

Same issue, however it only started happening during this session, day 14th. Game gets blurry/pixelated for a bit, then goes back to normal

I found a workaround for that, just change Windowed/FullScreen/Borderless Fullscreen

Literally change any one of your video settings then reapply

I turned the FOV down to 85 and it still happens, but how often was reduced by a ton.

doesnt have to be resolution and you dont actually have to change it, you can change then change back and reapply and itll be fine

It happens when you hold C or Tab and cause the menu to open multiple times

start only tapping C or Tab a single time when you want to open the menu

I have the same isue. I just open setings and change some video setings. When it happens again then just change that change back.

This can get irritating sometimes though. Reducing the FOV stopped it from occurring most times.

You don’t even have to do that. Just go to settings then click graphic settings and it fixes. You don’t have to change any of your graphic settings lol just gotta go into the menu of graphic settings

Hi i bought this game like an hour ago and i have verified my files. I am still having this blurry texture issue. The only fix is to reapply my settings. This is after hitting the "tab" key - or for me "tilde ~ " key

looks like this is the version im supposed to be on according to the rest of the thread? let me know if more information is required from my end. Game is fun so far, but having to reapply/switch settings every 10-15 minutes is kind of annoying 😢

these are my settings. I used the game's auto detection to determine them. I will either switch between high quality preset to the auto detection to fix the blurry effect or I will reapply the auto detection. I am running a 4090 on a 4k monitor.

i switched my hotkeys from c to tab and tab to tilde as soon as i started the game. Idk if that messes with the fix?

ah thats weird but then again amd gpus had a huge issue with dx12 he game was running so i had to put the argument -dx11 into steam to not crash on day 8 onward, might be to do with that?
