Game Version

Go to Setting, version is number in top left corner.

Log And Save File

The best bug reports include the Game Logs, and Crash Dump This helps us see what happened behind the scenes in your game. Please include the log file in every bug report, and the crash dump if you experience a crash.

Finding the Files

Forum Tags - Use the most appropriate when reporting bugs

🟢 Cosmetic Bug - This bug does not affect gameplay, it is purely cosmetic/visual/auditory.
Example: When shooting, the shoot animation fails to play, but the gun still shoots and deals damage.

🟡 Minor Bug - This bug somewhat affects gameplay, but not in a big way. It is still possible for you to play the game normally.
Example: If you position yourself correctly, you are able to go through the wall and out of bounds, but you are able walk back into the playing area like normal.

🟠 Serious Bug - This bug hinders your normal gameplay.
Example: When you kill an infected, it fails to die and ruins the entire quarantine zone.

🔴 Crash - Your game crashed (the game closed without your consent)

🧱 Blockers - Your game is "blocked" or "softlocked", leaving you unable to progress, forcing you to restart.
Example: A survivor is stuck in place and refuses to move, nothing you do makes them get out of your way, and the game can no longer progress.

🎣 Exploits - Things in the game that are not caused by bugs, but by a possible oversight.

Navigate to C:Users<user>/AppData/Local/QZSim/SavedSaveGames and then open the folder with a long string of numbers - this folder number will be different for all users.

Fatal crash - AMD components

  • Try launching the game in dx11. On steam right click the game and go to launch options and type -dx11
    Newest version of the AMD drivers are supposed to be stable - if they aren't launch the game in -dx11 or downgrade your drivers

Scanner not scanning under the clothes

  • No known fix at the time

Twich drops not showing up in my email

  • Open a #📩︱server-support ticket and share your email adress and your twitch username

Can't drop the body in the cage

  • You have to use the cart to transport the body - The cart is found next to the liquidation area

Graphics are very blocky - can't be changed in settings

  • Please check that your PC meets the minimum requirements listed on steam, the game detects which settings are best for your setup. Low graphics sacrifice visual flare to ensure that the gameplay loop is playable

Quarantine does not open on day 8

  • You have to finish the yellow quest first, introducing you to unknown symptoms

Stuck on day 25 - "Check tools on desk"

  • You get an additional syringe that day - please check Georgie's desk

  • No current fix at this time

Can't find the vandal in "Ask your Mom"

  • Turn your flashlight off and on

Organs not appearing in the box

  • Make sure you are using "E" not left click to extract the correct (green) organ

Unable to progres past day 13

  • After you get the gun try shooting the second person in queue - they are supposed to attack you. The game does not allow you to sleep because you get 2 tools that day

Not enough rats for "Grey Tide"

  • No known fix besides restarting the day

People stuck outside of the queue

No reaction to the hammer/People falling over

  • Try launching the game in dx11. On steam right click the game and go to launch options and type -dx11, please check if your PC meets the minimum requirements

Zombies spawning in base

  • Intented behavior - they fall from rooftops

Zombies not getting up after falling from the rooftop

  • No known fix at the time

Error when launching the game: Couldn't start: ... QZSim CreateProcess() returned ERROR

  • Try turning steam off and running it as administrator
  • Verify game files
  • Check if windows security didn't block the exe file by going to:
    Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → Protection history
    If you see the game EXE blocked/quarantined: Allow on device / Restore

Then add an exclusion:
Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → Manage settings → Exclusions
Add folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Quarantine Zone The Last Check\

Additionally, disable Smart App Control:
Windows Security → App & browser control → Smart App Control

If this doesn't work try reinstalling the game - you won't lose progress
