Unusable Upgrades

Range: X getting increased range on his melee attacks would be broken and impossible to balance.

Health: X already has a large health pool by default.

Strength: X already has a lot of strength by default.

Sprint Speed: X cannot sprint anyway so this upgrade would be redundant.

Tumble Wings: Would make fall damage practically irrelevant to Model-X, a Semibot that already has lots going for him against monsters.

Unique Upgrades

Rocket Punch: Gives X a new ability when holding down the main action button while standing, which unleashes a projectile in the form of one of his fists. After a bit of charging, one of X's fists will fly from his arm in the direction he's looking at to damage and knockback monsters. However, in return, the arm he just fired with becomes unusable until he picks the hand back up again with the interact button. While the hand is detached, other Semibots can pick it up like an item and throw it at monsters or carry it back to X for him. X's hands cannot be extracted or destroyed by hazards. This ability's projectile speed and range increase with every upgrade.

Missile Launch: Gives X a new ability when tumble launching in the air. This ability allows him to rocket in the direction he's looking for a brief moment and explode on contact with any monster he launches into, dealing more self-damage than normal Tumble Launch in return. This ability's duration increases with every upgrade.

Flamethrower: Gives X a new ability when pressing and holding the main action button while prone at the cost of stamina. This ability allows him to emit flames from his jet boosters behind him while in the tumble state, which functions similarly to the propane tank item when it takes damage. Stamina drain decreases with every upgrade.

ok just found a pretty good looking semibot rig now to harvest it

aka i will be checking it out and seeing what i can add on mine

and also feel better about myself considering mine is pretty good

discovered: shader used to control backlights
copied shader code over to mine and discovered how it works and fixed it to work with mine

it uses a uv map to control the movement of the uv map which controls the bar (changed value from x to y to work with my uv)

it then changes the colour via value via a colour mix node which i have attached to a driver from a custom property

Zipper's Backstory

Zipper was a cowboy at heart in his past life before he died. He lived on a farm with his brother. The farm belonged to his grandfather, and it was passed down each generation. It was a quiet place in the countryside.

Zipper loved that farm. He loved harvesting food from the various gardens, he loved all the animals, but his favorite chore was always when he'd go take care of the horses every early morning.

He was always in hope that one day, he could ride off on horseback and explore the world. He didn't like the idea of being stuck in one place for the rest of his years. Unfortunately, at some point in his life, tragedy struck during a thunderstorm. (1/3)

He was out one late afternoon collecting firewood. It seemed like only a few moments before a sudden storm swallowed the previously clear skies. The sky became a dark, moody gray. There was thunder that sounded defeating to the ears, lightning, and soon enough, the rain started to pour down as well. Nobody could have predicted such weather on a day like this; A day that was previously filled with warmth, and the comforting rays of the sun.

As Zipper was heading back, there was a large crackle behind him. He turned around, unaware of what the sudden noise was. As he did, he looked up, and his eyes locked in on a large object that seemed to be getting closer as the moments passed by. He realized what it was a few moments too late, and suddenly, everything went black. A large, thick tree had fallen down in him, completely crushing him to death.

Zipper woke up in what felt like a rock. He felt completely stiff. He could barely move. He slowly blinked his eyes open, and looked around. He managed to - albeit not without immense struggle - sit up a little bit by propping himself up using his what felt like arms. His eyes slowly trailed down to his waist. His blood went cold. He got up and ran to the nearest mirror-like object he could find. He stared at his reflection in horror. (2/3)

This wasn't his body. This body was this shiny, light blue sheen, and it looked almost metallic. It looked like what could be described as cake layers. His arms and legs looked like what was best described as icicles. The only difference was both of his arms had claws. His eyes were - quite literally - large, round green orbs.

He took a few deep breaths to try and calm down, before looking behind him. He froze. Behind him, was a giant network of wires, computer systems, buttons, and various other objects that looked connected to the mess. In the middle of it all, on a giant monitor, there was a big, yellow face staring back at him with a sinister grin.

This was the beginning of what was to come. (3/3)
