You know, something sad that I've been thinking about is that my best friend left me for his ex, and he doesn't talk to me as much as we used to. I lost his help and his friendship that I cherished so much. I remembered the REPO games we used to play, one where we reached level 13, and it brings back so many wonderful memories. It's a sad feeling, a pain in my chest, remembering that addiction and the happiness I shared with him. Now, the only memories I'll have of him are those saved games we played together.

I have several games with him, and I don't know if I want to delete them or just keep them as memories, watching those games and remembering the hours of fun I had with him. And it truly hurts, knowing that they're my only good memories with him before all the bad things started.

I found something really cool that's making the game way funner, go to User, Your username, appdata, locallow, semiwork, repo, saves, and you can copy/past a file that's there somewhere else so that the game doesn't delete it next time you die, and then repaste it and basically you have a checkpoint. It's made the game so much funner for me.

Anyone have a confirmed source for exactly how the shop prices are determined (as of the state the game is in today)?

Most of the information I've found online is just wrong, probably outdated due to patches. It's very hard to find anything accurate being new to the game.

I read this article saying you could buy upgrades and hold them in ship to change the upgrade spawn pool, but we tested it and it didn't work at all.

I'm also very confused about how base price multiplication works.

"Upgrade Manipulation Strategy

In order to roll for upgrades that you want you have to learn the Upgrade Manipulation Strategy [9] The upgrades that spawn can only be in one place at a time, either the "Pool", Truck, or the Shop, no duplicates. The shop takes 10 items into the pool and puts them into the shop, buy all of them and they will stay in the truck unless consumed (the only exception being the Map Player Count upgrade which once used can no longer respawn). The Truck can hold upto 16 upgrades at a time, any excess would go to a "Void". After that the upgrades that are still in the pool go back into the shop

With this strategy you can easily manipulate what upgrades you want. For example If you get the Map Player Count upgrade + 10 other upgrades that you don't want then the same 10 upgrades will always spawn in the shop as long as you don't consume the ones in the truck and consume the ones you bought. This is very useful because as of the Museum Update, Strength is the most valuable upgrade allowing you to carry heavy objects easier and grab monsters. "

I suppose an easier way to say it is that pricing for upgrades only updates the next time you go into the shop so it's best to max out on cheap upgrades if there are several

shop items use the exact same value system as valuables do (having a min & max then picking a number between them)

baseValue is the random number. as an example, stamina upgrade's range is $300 to $450.
valueIncrease starts at 1 and goes up by 0.5 per upgrade purchased. obviously only affects the same type of upgrade as the one you buy.
discount starts at 1 and goes down by 0.1 per extra player (after the host) present. at 6 players, it would be 0.5.
then its:

ceil(baseValue * 4) * valueIncrease * discount

quick side note: the division by 1000 (to get the cost in $K) happens right after ceil(baseValue * 4), then the valueIncrease and discount modifiers are applied to the cost in $K (and the result is rounded up)

this is why youll often see upgrades costing one price or another without any in-between. cuz of the early rounding.
