I don't think people dislike Loom due to her threat on paper.
I don't like her as much because she makes you constantly look over your shoulder and makes it difficult if you need to take a minute outside of the game - which normally, you could just hide. now those spots are more limited.
she's also creepier than the rest of the monsters.
she's just in a different class than the rest.
