I did initially have motion sickness, but it can be mitigated with in-game settings.
under Gameplay, this is what I've changed, if you want something as a baseline to tweak later.

Camera Smoothing: 85% (this can be tested by moving your camera left and right, it's how sharp the camera stops after movement)
Camera Shake: 40%
Camera Noise: 30% (this is ambient movement, you can see it when you're still, and I'm thinking about reducing it more)
Camera Animation: Very Low

Aim Sensitivity probably goes into it too, but varies with mouse sensitivity. mine is very fast and I had to crank the aim sensitivity down some.

Stuff like Maps, Custom enemies and valaubles, and new mecahnics and gameplay.. won't function the same, as it use too. Untill RepoLib, along side the mods themselves are updated.. to the current version.

Personally, I'd just play vanilla.. because trying to find a mod that works for this update is a challenge.

I've just passed on your suggestion about the new monsters being more common for the first few days. The only issue is the difficulty curve for some of them.. may be unfair on new players.. or for less experienced, because a mix of old and new allows you to get a decent streak.
