But what I've noticed is that after a bit, only my torso and above are paralysed. So what I do is use my leg to hook onto the edge of my bed and pull myself out of it. And then I "wake up" again in the middle of my bed in shock.

I don't know if ALL sleep paralysis is like this, but mine definitely seems like it's a very lucid nightmare, rather than actually being awake
