To reset your cosmetic progress you will need to delete your meta save folder.
To find this you will need to navigate to %userprofile%/AppData/LocalLow/semiwork/Repo/ and find the metasave file there, Once you find it delete it and after doing so disable steam cloud to stop steam from trying to recover your old meta save file.

Also "already having all cosmetics of that rarity" would be irrelevant, as it shouldn't be expected to check that when a lobby can have up to 6 people to check against. That would mean playing with others increases your chance of boxes you don't need, which they wou;dn't want.

except range which is limited to 8 upgrades for grabbing items but is infinite with tumble climb

not useless, it makes enemies easier to stun and SUPER heavy valuables easier to handle. 13 is just the minimum for picking up every monster in the game that can be picked up

1-lose fear factor, i started doing long runs way faster when i am laughing at, say, loom instead of screaming (i cooked 4 of them medium-rare style on museum map just for fun)
2-learn monster behaviour and good strats against them, like, a few monsters are a real threat, like robe with it's stealth, huntsman with aimbot or headman with flight...tho ALL of them lose their threat factor when you get a gun
3-get a gun on lvl 3-5 and A LOT of strenght, on 13-15 of it and with a good weapon you are basically left with two threats-peeper and T.H.E H.O.L.E.S.
