Supporting ultra wide isn't as simple as it seems, nor is it a novel problem - the developers have a very specific vision for how the game should look, even down to the main menu scene.

REPOFidelity took about 2 weeks of play-testing to get right, and I'm sure there's still issues with it I've got to solve.

For example, some enemies (like shadow child) would allow you to see them on screen unless you manually tweaked how the detection systems work in game, all UI elements have a CRT warped effect, pronounced by how far from center they are

well.. be careful of monsters but indeed.. pits are practically your most and biggest enemy on higher levels.

also be careful of monsters around you. Like, sometimes it makes a huge difference if you can spot a monster sound nearby, so you can start countering them before they spot you.

and another thing you can definitely do is, using the grab to stun the monsters and then pass by them, in case you for some reason can't or don't want to kill said monster.

grabbing to stun them and then kill them without tranqgun is also something you can do.

e.g. if you don't have tranqgun but a weapon, but no pits nearby, and a Trudge is about to slam the ground.... You can try grabbing him to stun him to prevend the ground pounding.

that way you can use that timeframe to pull out your weapon and finish it off
