No matter how good your gear is or how many upgrades you do have, there are 2 main run enders anywhere in the run from lv20+, one being the explosive orbs knocking you into a pit or acid, the second one being a peeper spawning in a very uncomfortable situation such as that one room in MCjannek station or when other enemies are in the same room along with the peeper

I guess the explosive orbs were added so your good gear still won't guarantee that your run will never end

yea I get that but forcing the players to be tossed around by monsters just isn't fun (exept if you're a masochisc) and waiting 5 minutes everytime stopping the gameplay to hide kinda sucks. Weapons feel really nice when you get them but the rarity and scarcity of energy/crystals definitely doesn't trivialise the game.
