or just the mere fact that probably everybody got a whole bunch of upgrades and there's so many people crowded that you don't know what the FUCK you're taking

the tick steals health as long as it's latched on. if you've shaken it off, it shouldn't still lose health, and that's a bug.
you can get it off of you by bashing it around - it'll lose size and then die. the green aura heals you.
or you can wait for it to get full and it'll unlatch itself.

the thing that makes this difficult is that the enemies also drop valuables that can be extracted, up to a point.

You can either have it off and it won’t show, medium just shows “REPO” and your playtime on your profile, and full shows REPO, the level you are in, and how much time you’ve played
