#Altering the new dating rule

For a few reasons, I believe this rule should be altered too "No halting regular roleplay to go on in character dates".

No character relationships at all not only takes away from monoliths whole thing about not having to deal with all the rules of other servers, but also takes away from actual roleplay.

A lot of IC couples are IRL couples just wanting to play together, and if your partner dies in game then the tension against whoever killed them is increased and honestly just makes the roleplay better trying to rescue your partner.

Not that I'm saying we should allow people to use this server as a dating app, thats exactly why I said no halting regular RP for it. But I believe that completely disallowing in character relationships really takes away from RP and monoliths standards.

Like...what are you gonna do. Open a lengthy ticket applying for 'relationship rp' rights with proof of both participants age? Its just not practical

plus proventing people from rping it doesnt exactly solve the issue youve proposed? if anything that just makes it so they take it to a place where others cant even intervene

i feel that making it a rule that restricts everyone to such a degree honestly is just a terrible way of tackling the issue that just makes monolith feel restrciting which is entirely against the whole basis of monolith

Relationship rp is kinda weird anyways, you aint gonna catch me goin to bat for it. That being said I hate having to always shift things around for the sensibilities of children. They should simply go somewhere else.
