#Make the recent size PR also change speeds

so small = fast
big = more health?
I'm pretty sure the goal of the PR is to reduce your health depending on size to amount for the smaller hitbox
not a flat nerf
I don't really care for the argumentation I'm adding that here since you didn't mention it.
cause now you just have less health sense PVE doesnt care much about hitbox
another massive L for melee users
That’s kinda true tbh
vGroids are neat
and expeds
I think it should just stay how it is right now because I mean I've had to fight small people and I think its the same as fighting someone with a large one.
My shots hit them anyway so unless there was more to being small then I think that would be better than just small = less health
it just makes it so much more difficult for people with low height when it c omes to PVE
height didnt change hitboxes prior to this PR
that's because
they have identical hitboxes
so the only difference would be left-click melee hits
clicking on the sprite
It used to be a thing
still, there should definitly be some other benefit for small people, smaller hitboxes really isnt worth a couple of bullets missing you when most people run guns with high spread
yeah like 6 months ago
but it was removed because people complained about it
It’s time to play minisize resomi Avali
resomi got removed
by lowering the size of the hitbox, the density takes into account the fixture size and lowers the mass automatically btw
lowered mass means
a few things
easier to carry people with less mass
or drag
or throw
so now someone can throw you easier in combat..?
thats not really
selling it for me tbh
no
It’s just like for fun
Ilya suggested 50% HP at minsize so I'd consider this a significant difference smh
And max size?
but really, I feel like its not super necessary
120% is fine?
maxsize is a lot more impactful than minsize
also
you can also just not play minsize
More maximum HP would make size “meta” and thus height averages rise by 70%
if you play like half-minsize you are like 90%
except you are basically a bullet sponge
and the way its coded uses the diagonal
just increasing one stat will not scale you much
you have to increase both
return MathF.Sqrt(MathF.Pow(humanoid.Height, 2) + MathF.Pow(humanoid.Width, 2)) / MathF.Sqrt(2.0f);
I don’t really mind because I I think TTk would mostly still be the same
Remove size caps and mono is saved
the only real issue i hav ewith this is
its pretty useless for PVE
if anything it just makes you more vulnerable
if that's a significant issue I can make size scaling impact mob hit chance
it would be easy, actually
that would honestly solve my only real issue with this PR
Simple mobs can’t predict diagonals
I'll put that on my todolist for the pr
sense otherwise mobs dont care about hitboxes
they hit based off an rng roll yes
then yeah if that gets added im fine with the PR
no like
they cheat basically
unless you move outside of their range and juke the ai like that I guess
mob hits are just rng "does it hit or not"
I think there should be buffs to both sides and have no debuffs so everyone gets buffs! but not normal hight people
for the record
I'd rather have a 20% health decrease over any amount of movement penalty beyond like
5%
lol
what about wide people
There should be like 4 things 2 for hight (Tall or short) and 2 for wide or thin
theres only 1 height bar, unless we've changed that
btw if you
max height only
1.2x height, 1x width
scale is 1.04x
so basically little to no difference
same the other way around
advantages of high size: You are slightly more tanky, and can drag hard
disadvantages: You hit your head on the airlock's frame, and are a bullet sponge
I think we should just not change it because me like how it is
I want to play big character and punch people hard
fuck
now I need to think about maybe having it impact melee damage lmao
or
unarmed
I mean
Use the mine gloves
xeno people? 🥹
hydrakin...
hydrakin buffs soon trust 🚬
max size hydra...
you can btfo a large player as a small player by spam constructing rails in 1x1 chokepoints
both sides covered
every single tile
large is a tempting poison that will fuck your day up in the worst possible ways
actually
rails interspersed with directional windows
no climbing allowed
I hate you
Seems fair and balanced to me
hard to say but the benefits of being a fatty may potentially be overstated and just being 1x1 sized may just be the best idea in general
Tanking one or two extra bullets isnt that big of a deal
The main deal is that hitboxes should match the size
Oh god ash drakes having ash drake hp
More speed is just gonna get minmaxed and abused
Everyone pretty much always still gets dropped in under a second I really don't see the benefit of becoming massive
And it just rather limits creativity for players in my opinion
instead of being faster, being heavier could just grant a bit of armor slowdown penalty reduction
not a lot, maybe like 25% at maximum fat
so your 12% movespeed reduction becomes 9% instead which is nice but not game melting
Makes sense to me
being smaller makes it harder to get hit and allows you to fit through smaller spaces, so you probably need more incentives to be bigger...
the most incentive is being around 1x1 in size with no bias under this proposal which is ok imo
80% hp is a considerable penalty whereas getting fucking stuck on random shit is also a considerable penalty even with 120% hp and 25% less armor slowdown
you can effectively make your ship giant resistant with dglass blockers
forcing them to spend ammo freeing up their path or stowing their gun to address the obstacle
I'll have to test how annoying being maxsize is
oh yeah
oni are
20% larger already
so basically playing maxsize would be equivalent to oni lol
maxsize oni on the other hand..
(its fucked)
completely evil wyci territory but if there was some sort of fixture squishing system that reduced your movement in exchange for being able to fit in places tighter than normal it would be less awful on the large scale of things
