"Attention : a large, mobile, multi-linked storage vessel has been detected in the sector traveling along a pre-defined route. Civilians are reccomended to avoid disrupting its operation"
A new and mobile type of vault, space trains will randomly enter the sector, housing syndicate AND nanotrasen goodies inside of them, or just a bunch of valuable resources and crates. The train has four nacelles on its front where the engines are, and there are four carriages equipped with 20mm and 57mm. The idea is to slow the train by shooting its engines off, then shoot down each shipgun before docking.
The train itself is driven by a "Passive" Attacker core, which only starts shooting when it gets threatened and flies on a straight route always. The routes taken by the train can vary from 5k to 10k out, but the train will always travel 7k minimum before disappearing. If it stops moving for 3 minutes, it begins an emergency FTL sequence and raises alarms up for 60 seconds, before promptly vanishing. If it arrives to its original intended point unscathed, it will halt for 60 seconds, and then FTL out of the sector.
The train has an engine section, a fuel/crew section, and 3 vault-like storage carriages, making the train into effectively 3 vaults in one and a starship. Civilians can choose to defend it, receiving pay when they are near it before it FTL jumps out of sector, or they can choose to raid it for the goods inside. Defending it successfully gives 500k, failing to defend or raiding it only gives 50k. Pay is recieved within a radius of 300m from the train as well.
Upon leaving, a special announcement plays
"Attention: Mobile multi-linked storage vessel has exited the sector. Civilians nearby it at the time of departure have been given compensation for ensuring the safety of the cargo."
There should ghostroles for train defense.
