High frequency katanas revamp

Right now as they are they are basically re-skinned energy swords
They could perhaps use a unique mechanic
And here is the unique mechanic I suggest the katana has two unique items the katana
And the sheath
The sheath deals a okay amount of blunt
But it's unique purpose is to allow katana combos
And you can unseath the blade in two different ways and put the blade back inside in one way

Quick draw which is just simply clicking on the sheath with the katana inside

And slow draw which you alt click
Making you do a do after

Man id just settle for being able to get an HF katana as my "special gun"

But giving em some cool fancy features would be snazzy as well

(Lunges you forward dealing moderate damage)

Callous cleave
Quick draw+sheath+Quick draw
(Deals small amount of AOE damage in a 3X3 area in front of you)

Belligerent end

(Deals massive damage
Three tiles in front of you)

God I could do some serious murder with that kinda setup

What are the modern stars for the current katanas?

I'm used to the 20 shock
25 slashing stay blocks

(Reflects one instance of damage no matter what it is)

Generally what I seek for this revamp is to encourage people to fully go into hur hur weeaboo Samurai

And actually kinda look cool while doing it and also move away from the one-handed melee meta

And instead encourage two handed melee play

EXTRA DETAILS
I'm a dumbass and forgot to mention a couple of other things

In order to use these abilities you need to hold the sheath in your offhand while also holding the katana

The katana should keep its damage but lose its natural reflection chance so it still works incredibly well with the energy Shield but at the detriment of no longer having combos

The slow draw takes 0.7 seconds to finish

The craftable high frequency katana
Also has a craftable sheath version which requires a normal captain's sheath
Five Plasteel and a portable recharger

Love all of the ideas. But I don't think I'd want to trade it's strongest defensive quality

Fair but I think we have plenty of defensive options especially with printable energy Shields

The issue is how invaluable having even unreliable reflection on a weapon is.

The HF katana has saved my ass in more than a few firefights.

A monolith iconic combo is a HF katana and an atreides for sheer brutality and balanced combat ethos

That's my point of contention it's not incredibly reliable
And it's both frustrating to both parties the one who is having all of their bullets completely reflected

And the other who is relying on it having absolutely nothing reflected
Which is why I suggested instead of RNG reflection chance it gives you a 2-second window of 100% reflection chance in return for asking for a bit of skill with the said weapon

And it also contests with the energy sword as a one handed moderate reflection chance based weapon

And I'm game to have it changed but Id rather have the defensive value with it's stat block.

I like my sword. It's damage types are different. It's not nearly as noisy and provides similar benefits

I mean we have different katanas yeah?
Each of them could just do something different further differentiating themselves

That I'd be more down with. New stuff or alternatives is better than replacements.
