I played a bit of a server that uses frontier's codebase, and these were actually scary to deal with, but not hard.
Don't see any reason why we couldn't port this over.
(maybe buff their HP a bit? or not)

Yeah then probably the zombies being so old have mutated to be stronger in different ways but no longer spread the disease
Or maybe some still do but are really weak and acts like poison that lingers for a bit? Maybe causes vomiting as well? Then we can have different zombies like boomers

I mean, I always figured it was an old strain or something, maybe it's not infectious due to being experimented on.
Same as Chimera is only here, it wouldn't be hard to say this is another strain of the zombie virus that was muted and changeg to lose it's infectious ability but gained other unique things.

finally, the zombie content I seek
only downside I guess is there's no chance of it really spreading cos zombies don't really fly ships and so their ability to spread in space if something goes wrong is w/e
But the zombie exped captures that vibe pretty good still I think
