can I steal a merc/civ's ID (with a reason), their research server, entire ship, or other high value assets? what would justify this (such as ironman pirate stealing a exped ship?)

if a target does not initially surrender, how brutal can I be to them? do I have to offer a second chance? can I RR particularly resistant victims for being a hassle?

you cant steal tehy ship

#

and id

#

not without a damn good reason

You CAN ask for value of their ship in money though! (bring ATM with you) If they say "No", well then you can do what you need to do to get your payday. Don't murder them unless they force you or anything.

ok if i remember correctly there's a rule against making people pull money out of their ATMs, but its REALLY funny to imagine a pirate taking over a ship, demanding like, 60k, and upon hearing that the crew does not have 60k, pulling out an ATM flatpack and multitooling it.

then going:
"you're bound to have some in your accounts though!"

i think you can steal ships rules as written

outer plinth
#

i dont think theres any rules on what you cant take but the only thing ive seen an admin mention is to not steal research servers

#

also you would have to very purposefully RR people

#

the existence of medical dispatch or the crit + handcuff + revive + drag them so they cant uncuff method makes it so you can pretty much disable people and still not RR

#

then put them in a locked/welded locker when u leave and call medical dispatch to come help

#

from a moral/player standpoint there is another player behind that screen and while you want to Kill them and Steal They Shit, being round removed kinda sucks. but it doesnt suck that bad

#

ofc im just a player and not an admin so take all this with a grain of salt

i drive close, maybe even dock if i can do it in 5 seconds

#

over radio

#

"HELLO THERE. I'M COMING TO FUCKING KILL YOU!!!"

#

and then i go kill them

lucid matrix
#

Damn

#

I had an idea of being "ship inspectors" or something and try to be let aboard to slowly steal everything

outer plinth
#

i mean

#

you still can

#

nothings stopping you

lucid matrix
#

I'll try pirating at some point probably when I got enough to buy better guns and ships

outer plinth
#

you can pirate with 10k

#

5k for a roundstart loadout modsuit ro hardsuit

#

5k for a smg and amm9

#

then u get the baeg ship for 6k

#

you are pirating by boarding after all

#

ok thats closer to 16k but u get the idea

Just a clarification, you have to give reasonable commands.
"Die" is not a reasonable demand.

You do indeed have to say something like "drop your guns or die!"
Then as you come around the corner if they don't have their guns on the floor, you can shoot them.

outer plinth
#

i advise shooting them anyway wether or not they accepted your demands, with a disabler

#

it doesnt do any harm and prevents them from pulling a gun mid-surrender and gunning you down

brazen glen
#

Disabler is a bold choice, but it works.
A lot of armor is resistant to disabler, but that being said, a lot of people take that stamina rebuff for a trait.

is n20 flooding a valid non-lethal option?
