Malo-Avaliite Weapons Corporation (or shortened simply the MAWC, bearing the IFF MWC) is, you guessed it, a Weapons Corporation.

Origin
Based originaly as a Gorlex Subsidiary during the time of the corporate wars under a different banner, the old corporation was reformed into a new, similarly violent subdivision, now promoted to full corporation. Taking from existing syndicate designs, the MAWC would refine and upgrade the old guns, creating a focus on self-recharging ballistic weaponry using a reverse engineered ammo feed system derived from Cybersun's Anaconda, and applying it to larger weapons like the C-20r SMG, and other weapons platforms.

Despite promising outcomes and heavy industry spending on infrastructure to manufacture effective weapons and armor... nobody actually wanted to buy the self-recharging gear and improved bloodreds in the first place (in part due to terrible public outlook and awful ad campaigns that sunk more money than they gained). So they turned to the next best method: making their own customers!

Doctrine/Motives
MAWC Employees are expected to sell goods by any means possible. Whatever they sell and how they get the money doesnt matter, only that they sell their desired product and a customer leaves with one more crate on their ship. When referring to "any means possible", the corporation WILL try to sell to you if you reject. The only way out otherwise is Death, or forfeiting ship modules to let them resell, and hand you over the crate anyways.

#

(Cont.)
Navy
Typical MAWC vessels are hybrid cargo-combat warships, designed to carry a lot of things and deliver equal grade punishment to their enemies, should they be provoked, or should an employee feel the need to "tax" a civilian for extra profits. MAWC warships follow a broadside-heavy weapons arrangement, with few ships focusing on frontal firepower unless they are small. Most MAWC ships prioritize heavy armor and high firepower, so their thrust is lacking, yet well protected, as most designs attempt to incorporate some form of internal thrust, leaving as little exposed thrust as possible behind.

Capital
the Heart of MAWC operations lies in their mobile flagship, the Tartarus, a massive, broadsider focused battleship that could rival Halcyon, and acts as a Mobile equivalent to the Camelot Station of USSP., with docks centered on the rear, with its thrust inside the hull.

#

currently tired and need to refine this as well

cobalt bronze
#

list of equipment:
Modified c20r (assault)
Modified anaconda (secondary)
Modified Burner (sniper/heavy)
Upgraded bloodred (gives user an armblade ability, protects slightly more than base)
Upgraded elite (comes with special 50% reflective shield, similar stats to elite otherwise)
Smart bullet grenade

Things to get mapped:
Light combat hauler
Medium combat hauler
Heavy combat hauler
Combat support ship
ACTUAL hauler with hidden weapons inside
Tartarus flagship

MAWC Gimmick: Self regenerating ammo
All MAWC weapons come with regenerative ammo mags. Depending on caliber, the weapon reloads faster or slower. Magazines are unremovable for all MAWC weapons, and depleting the ammo will cause the weapon to beep audibly 3 times, before entering a reload cooldown for 5 seconds. Once the cooldown expires, the weapon regenerates ammo as normal.

MAWC C-20r Upsides and downsides
upsides
-Infinite ammo
-Better handling, accuracy, and one-hand capability
downsides
-Cannot quick reload
-Magazine regenerates ammunition slower than the anaconda does, and weapon cannot fire until 5 rounds are regenerated once emptied
-LOUD
-Takes up a 2x4 bag space

MAWC Anaconda upsides and downsides
upsides
-Slight AP (like a hawk)
-Faster firerate
-5 more piercing damage
downsides
-Projects a laser, revealing you.
-Regenerates ammo much slower than the normal anaconda.
-Pistol takes up a 2x3 instead of the normal space
-Slower projectiles

MAWC Burner upsides and downsides
upsides
-Infinite ammo economy
-Fires faster
-Higher structural, additional AP effect
Downsides
-Slows the wielder
-Slowest ammo regen
-Reduced AP effect
-LOUD reload and fire
-Cannot be quick reloaded
-Cannot use HE ammo

#

MAWC Bloodred (compared to syndicate bloodred)
-Has 4% less slowdown compared to normal (6% slow)
-Has 15% more piercing, heat and radiation resist
-Has 20% less slash, blunt and caustic resist.
-Poor stamina resistance
-Poor explosion resistance
-Comes with thermal pulse and Sechud capability
-Built in armblade weapon for melee engagements

MAWC Elite suit (stats compare to CV-32)
-No slowdown
-Comes with a shield that can reflect bullets hitting the user with a 50% chance
-Has 10% more piercing resistance, 20% more heat resist, 100% rad resistance.
-Has 10% less blunt, slash and caustic resist.
-Shield is weaker compared to normal, can deflect 5-8 hits maximum before going down.
-Poor stamina resistance
-Poor explosive resistance
-Comes with NVG and medhud capability.

MAWC guns, starting with the heaviest and going down to lightest

Name scheme is as follows
M (Company tag, MAWC)
AW = Assault Weapon
HW = Heavy Weapon
DW = Defense Weapon
Number corresponds to the last 2 digits in the weapon's serial tag.

#

M-HW34 "Bulkhead"
Self regenerating radically upgraded burner, fires higher velocity 50.cal rounds with high structural and piercing damage. Half of the piercing damage is heat damage.

60 struct, 40 damage per round, 20 pierce, 20 heat. 20 round magazine, but slowest reload rate out of all MAWC weapons. Loudest and hardest hitter, and the most expensive to create. Projectiles fly faster than the normal burner's 50 BMG ammo. Can ONLY fire its AP projectiles.

#

M-AW44 "Hammerhead"
Self reloading plasma-infused shotgun, radically upgraded from the "Bulldog" weapon design. Fires rounds that ignite the target. Primarily heat damaged based over piercing damage due to firing incendiaries.

Each pellet does 15 damage, 10 heat and 5 piercing. Each burst fires 7 pellets. Each pellet ignites the target.
12 round magazine, regenerates at a slower pace than the anaconda, but just enough to allow consistent firing. Loud, dangerous, and versatile. Comes with semi and full auto modes for user convenience.

#

M-AW46 "Nailhead"
Self regenerating radically modified CS C-20r Machine gun, with specialized one-handed capabilities for ease of use and synergy in combat. Encouraged to be used aggressively, in close quarters.

Has improved bullet spread, projectile speed, and firerate.
Each projectile does 28 damage, 14 pierce and 14 heat.
The weapon retains accuracy with one hand, not wieldable.
Regenerates faster than the anaconda, but if the ammo reserve is depleted, it will beep 3 times, and then enter an 8 second reload cooldown before beginning to regenerate its ammo.

#

M-DW77 "Blink"
Self regenerating modified Anaconda design. Simple, to the point, and effective. Higher projectile velocity than its parent design, and partial heat damage.

Equal stats to the anaconda, but otherwise has faster projectiles.
Each shot does 25 damage. 15 pierce, 10 heat.
If ammo reserve is depleted, the weapon will beep 3 times, and then enter an 8 second reload cooldown before regenerating ammo again.

MAWC Hardsuits time

#

M-LS1 "Spy"
Standard EVA Wear for assassins and pilots within MAWC control. Also doubles as a civilian grade EVA suit, sold on the market for cheap with above average performance to most softsuits.

Special MAWC upgrades give it a stealth field, which replicates the function of the old syndicate stealthsuit. Covering the suit is a layer of projectors enabling a chameleon-esque function powered by the thin back core on the suit.

20% resists across the board, 33% piercing resist. When the stealth is on, all resists become negative.
Built in weldprot, and flashprot. Comes with NVG.

#

M-HS4 "Brute"
Heavy combat grade Engineering suit, designed with utilities and carrying heavy loads in mind. The suit is assisted by a basic exoskeleton built into the suit, which weighs the wearer down, but allows the wearer to carry far heavier objects much more easily, and also doubles as a hydraulic weapon capable of shattering skulls. Plating is thick and designed for extreme conditions, and is unintentionally also somewhat decent at combat protection.

45% resists across the board, 100% for rad protection, 60% for heat protection.
Suit slows the user by 20%
Removes slowdown penalty from pulling objects, reduces time to pick up and carry others, increases throw strength by double.
Grants the wearer a slow wideswing punch that does 35 damage and knocks the impacted target back.
Comes with weldprot, flashprot, T-Ray, and nightvision.

#

M-AS6 "Viper"
Standard combat tacsuit of the MAWC. Infamous for its shield strength, mobility, and built-in vicious armblade, capable of chopping limbs. Iterated on over years of combat training, and designed to work in tandem with Support Suits, this hardsuit isn't the greatest on its own, but performs beautifully while in a team.

40% resists across the board, 55% for piercing. 30% caustic and radiation resist.
No slowdown.
Suit has a shield, which, when raised, provides 70% flat resists across the board, and slows the user by 10%
This suit cannot activate its shield by itself, requiring external factors.
Grants an ability which enables the user to create an energy blade, which takes up one hand and is clearly visible.
Energy blade deals 20 heat, 20 slash, 5 pierce per swing.
Energy blade has the same reflect chance and swing speed as an Energy sword.
Has NVG's, Thermals, Sechud and flashprot.

#

M-SS8 "Bulwark"
Heavy suit with a built in radar electronics package, capable of monitoring entire battlefields on the ground. Slow, bulky, and highly armored, with a shield to boot. Capable of activating the shields of Assault suits whenever it turns on its own.
Designed for backline command and support, while also allowing commanders to enter the field, this suit is designed to benefit Assault Suits, activating shields and providing coordination.

60% resists across the board, 45% for piercing and heat.
This suit slows the wearer by 20%.
This suit has a shield, which, when active, provides 80% resistances across the board, and slows the wearer by 10%.
Whenever this suits shield activates, any nearby "Viper" hardsuits will also enable their shield.
Provides slightly extended zoom and view range. Has NVG, Thermals, medhud, sechud, weldprot, and flashprot. Thermal pulses last twice as long.

so company tech is faction tier roughly

barren vessel
#

You have to think about the consequences of the corporate war

#

Government bodies wouldn’t allow corporations to have assets that powerful.

cobalt bronze
#

they operate in a nomadic fashion because their permanent facilities were all destroyed during the corporate war, and the general reputation after it that they had was not the greatest since people would just keep attacking them when they tried to stake claims, and government forces neutering their attempts to grow as you said.

barren vessel
#

but as an example the confederation hunted down and decommissioned remnants of syndicate vessels due to the fear of the corporate power rebuilding - actively sending naval forces to purge whatever they could find

cobalt bronze
#

its at the very least a fragment of what they used to be, and the one thing they value most, since its basically their mobile command center.

barren vessel
#

It wouldn’t rival halcyon though

cobalt bronze
#

maybe not outgun

#

but it would serve similar purposes to the halc of today

#

a mobile FOB

narrow apex
#

This is slowly becoming more and more just a seperate faction then a company

fluid dock
#

it just isn’t thought out in a balanced fashion

cobalt bronze
#

im just spitballing numbers still because I dont have a baseline i can edit on the fly and check if it feels good

fluid dock
#

lmao look at faction gear

#

If you need a real baseline try opening up your IDE and looking at what different gears have

chilly orbit
#

i mean maybe it could just have a ton of bofors as a long range artilary hub bofors cant really outgun a frontal attack but can definitly provide some insane levels of fire support

#

requiring support ships to function as a propper mobile combat base

cobalt bronze
#

bofor range is 1.8km and it would ideally have a set of hades on either side for actual artillery combat

chilly orbit
#

or just make it

#

able to just murder halcyon

#

from a distance

cobalt bronze
#

yea with the hades

chilly orbit
#

the current hades ships pdv has acess to

#

is 1 hades

#

on a sainte

cobalt bronze
#

ok but TSF gets four of them on one voucher ship

chilly orbit
#

very intentionally would take actual centuries or 4 saintes to do any real damage

chilly orbit
#

so with its shield

#

you cant fight it

#

even with flyssa

#

scince helio has hades

cobalt bronze
#

helios gets like, 8 across its hull

#

plus 6 thanatos

#

its not comparable at all

chilly orbit
#

yeah

cobalt bronze
#

and halcy rework is going to be even more upgunned anyways

chilly orbit
#

iether way stationary bases still probably going to outgun halcyon

cobalt bronze
#

MAWC flagship could have like 4 hades and 4 cyrexas and it would just be a fancier camelot firepower wise

chilly orbit
#

asuming your giving it other ships

#

cause giving it the ability to totally defend itself against entire factions is not really the goal here

#

it should be able to fight off invasions from them but only with ships to support..

cobalt bronze
#

camelot can fend off literal faction invasions on its own rn out of the virtue of the fact that it has thanatos carrying it hard

#

struggles against wyverns and flyssa but eviscerates anything else

chilly orbit
#

i mean yeah and its stationary

#

and its a old military fortress

#

from a massssive faction

cobalt bronze
#

what used to be USSP

#

now turned merc central

untold island
#

USSP used to be direct TSF counterpart

chilly orbit
#

yeah

untold island
#

So the remnants being able to match TSF to a degree makes sense

chilly orbit
#

but uhh

#

the reason im trying to retcon the firepower as a whole is

#

i dont think the maints want a third major faction

#

from a company

#

and i WANT this to get in

#

i just dont want it to be shot down due to dumb things and then stereotyped

untold island
#

That and companies are in sector, whereas TSF is a galactic power backing in sector operations

#

I dont know what the pdv is, i havnt read any of its lore yet

RANGED

  • all guns have higher bullet velocity and improved spread compared to their non-recharging counterparts
  • all guns regenerate ammo
  • all guns deal half/a third of their piercing damage as heat, so blink does 15 pierce and 10 heat for example
    • Breacher has reduced damage but fires incendiaries
  • hailstorm regenerates its ammo the fastest (0.4s reload), warhead regenerates the slowest (8s reload), breacher and blink anywhere inbetween
  • warhead has highest bullet velocity
    MELEE
  • Sear has same reflect and slightly higher damage than edagger, but quickest attack speed
  • Sharkminnow has the highest slash and heat damage, but can only hit a target 6 times before needing to recharge for 7s
  • MAWC Spy and Assault both posess an energy armblade which does hefty slash, piercing and heat damage, but can only be swung 3 times before recharging
    ARMOR
  • Bulkhead support has raidsuit resists (65%) across the board, with 20% slowdown
  • Viper assault has bloodred resists (50-55%) with 8% slowdown
  • Brute engi has elite suit resists (40%-80%, 100% rad resist)
  • Spy softsuit has merc hardsuit resists (33%)
  • All hardsuits have NVG, Weldprot, and sechud
    • Viper and Bulkhead have medhud and flashprot
    • Bulkhead has constant thermals instead of night vision
  • Bulkhead hardsuit possesses a shield
  • Viper hardsuit possesses a shield
    • This shield cannot be activated until multitool linked to a Bulkhead support suit, which remotely raises the shield for the assault suit
  • Bulkhead shield has 70% resists and slows the wearer by 30%
  • Viper shield has 65% resists and slows the wearer by 5%
  • Bulkhead engi suit removes pull slowdown penalty while worn
  • Spy softsuit is roundstart, or the cheap research precursor to every suit
#

RESEARCH

  • Basic Outfit (jumpsuit, shoes, gloves, mask), Spy softsuit obtainable in loadout
    • If not roundstart for the softsuit, then its the precursor to researching every hardsuit, comes before SCAF tech.
  • Suits require Super Parts tech, SCAF tech, Nightvision/Thermal tech, Advanced tools tech, and Advanced energy weapons research prerequisites.
    • Incendiary ammo, Material research 3, and Plasteel Core ammunition are additional research prerequisites.
-Warhead in independent research for 255k points
    • Requires all MAWC guns to be researched + late stage merc guns
  • Bulwark in independent research for 225k points
    • Requires prerequisite suit tech + MAWC Viper, Brute, and Spy to be researched
#

last thing.... ships

#

NAVY

  • Disguised cargo vessel focus
    • All ships have spacious bays, artillery/burst focused weaponry, and broadsider focus
  • Directionally weaker from front and back
  • Combat vessels follow a predominantly Arrowhead shape
  • Docks on rear or nose whenever possible
  • Bridge central, Engi below bridge.
    • Engi accessible easily via bridge usually
  • Three cargo ships
  • 2 Attack/combat warships
  • 1 Capital (POI)
    • Intended to be a mobile equivalent to Camelot
    • Armament is primarily artillery focused. 4 HADES, 6 Bofors, everything else Dravon or ASM-302.
