so im guessing cargo is kil for the foreseeable future so i guess i have to get a real gameplay loop now so uhh

  1. how far from the center of the map do you have to be for good stuff? (i saw someone say 20km but im not sure if that's still true)
  2. are debris as dangerous as they are in normal spess? like are fish and snakes still a threat
  3. would it be a good idea to salv solo

Solo salvage is pretty easy, and the inner 10km~ are where you find the most

tWorst things you'll run into are space bears or cobras

With mining just get really close to the rock then blast the entire thing out of existence with mining pulsers on your ship

With salvaging go onto it with a PKA or gun and kill all the mobs then chuck all the loot on your ship

As long as you stay calm most mobs die in 2-3 pka hits

And for both salvage and mining bring some basic medical supplies and turn your jumpsuits radar sig on and suit sensors to coordinates

As long as you do that even if you die a medship will probably get you

#

If you know how to do science or find a sci ship willing to sell to you then it’s possible to install more mining pulsers on your ship and get a industrial ore processor to increase your refining efficiency

Salvage:
Arrive at wreck, get ready stuff, get research points.
Have a simplest gun at disposal and jetpack.
Roundstart - preferred to have a construction box.
Fly around wreck on jetpack
Pistol/gun down mobs.
Get back for construction box
Open crates and lockers.

Look out for these:
Telecrystals
Tritium canister
Frezon Canister
Liquid Oxyvgen/Nitrogen/CO2 Canister
Antique Power Cell
Bluespace parts
Rings, Credits, Data disks(Glows blue)
Tech disks
Point disks
Magboots, cause one of them MAY be (idk if it's disabled, ask admeme) Magboots of blinding speed(Magboots and speedboots combined, no power usage, insanely op and coveted by many when they find out it ACTUALLY EXISTS)

Construction box has a magnet that drags in all the materials and point disks, so you just need to fly in and open crates and it will suck up everything.

Mining:
Get Mining ship with M25 Pulsars.
Shoot the roid from close distance.
Spray it for safety(kill the mobs that spawned)
Grab Ore box
Start collecting ore.

Upgrades.

Overall:
Liquid Oxygen/Nitrogen, set kpa to 5 when breathing. Both for jetpack and/or breathing tank.
Will increase duration of jetpack/breathing tank by 4x.
Possible to do even more if you supercool it(23.15 K and lower, ask nearby atmos idiot)

Material Silo
All-in-one storage spot
Can store erinforced glass too

Chemistry set.
You will face mobs that irradiate/poison you.
You need chems.
They are simple to do and a small batch will last you long enough.
