This is an evolution of ideas from both base SS14 and these threads

The USSP gets a new piece of tech, the little red book. its researchable around the midpoint of their tech tree and the commissar starts with one in their office. When the book is used by a serzhant or the commissar on a non-mindshielded individual, it converts them into a USSP conscript, it works on humanoid species (players), humanoid mobs (dungeon npc's and clones), and monkeys/kobolds. When used on a non-sentient creature it injects a small amount of cognizine into them.

When a person becomes a USSP conscript, they get a popup telling them they're USSP aligned and that they must follow any millitary orders given to them by USSP officers. In exchange, USSP conscripts can interact with a new kind of console on the USSP stations that gives them 120,000 credits for every hour they've been converted. Conscripts can cryo at any time to de-convert themselves, but they get a popup telling them they dont remember anything that happened while under USSP control. Conscripts also innately understand and can speak the USSP language.

Conscripts are not obligated to follow orders they consider to not be millitary related, such as menial labor or enforced behavior such as remaining in a specific place. Conscripts can also break control at any time by entering and leaving a cryo pod.

Conscript monkeys are no longer clumsy.

Members of other factions (TSF and ASR) are totally immune to conversion, as are medical staff (Responders and the DoC). In the implants tab of the loadout screen is a 1,000 credit mindshield implant, when injected it prevents all conversion and cannot be removed. The ASR and TSF can also research craftable versions of these.

and as with all my suggestions, if people seem to sorta like this ill make a bounty for it

Maybe just have conscripts as mobs that are friendly to USSP always, to civies unless they attacked a USSP member in 500m radius and always hostile to factions.

nope its gotta be real people

Hold on a second, at first I thought that you wanted a reinforcement radio like nukies have on wizden, but this is actually much worse. This is actually just a variant of NRP rev but instead of flashes you get a book. Man, people HATE NRP rev.

#

Not only it forces you to obey someone else's orders even if you don't want to, it also gimps you and practically gives you the clown trait.

I am not gonna lie, if this ever gets implemented I am gonna go from being friends with USSP to killing them on sight just to prevent them from whacking me with the book.

i made it very clear in the description that you can easily opt out by either taking the mindshield or by just cryoing and un-cryoing if you get converted

#

the clumsiness thing tho, now that i think about it is kinda dumb

wanton helm
#

and its not really NRP revs, one of the main issues with ss14 revs is that they go from aligned with crew to instantly hostile to everyone, whereas here you just become hostile to TSF and ASR

#

i should mention i fucking DESPISE station server rev rounds with a burning passion

i changed it slightly again to reflect my original intentions

#

you dont have to obey non-millitary orders

in base ss14 revs main goal is to kill all the command members, in practice every rev round devolves into sec shooting everyone on sight because they may be a rev or revs gibbing half of command 2 minutes into a round

#

these "revs" have no kill objective

welp

#

this is no longer relevant
