I'd like it if station employees (as opposed to the non-station freelancers) could have some 'guaranteed' payment for time served in their role. Being a janitor for 1-8 hrs (spending money in the process of doing their role, likely, for various tools and their start loadouts) and getting no pay because an arbitrary command role isn't present (or they aren't present when they're handing out cash due to being off-station for an assignment) isn't very fun.
So one could make a console that picks various jobs and assigns them a default hourly salary, which is automatically (or once they visit a designated 'payout' terminal on their default station) added to their account. Command can tweak, veto (e.g. deny one hour of payment) or otherwise manage salaries of any given role or person in that role automatically, and set things up for when they go cryo, AFK, or another person takes over.
Most players likely aren't goint to spend hours idling for that 'static' paycheck when they can do literally anything else ingame, or the job they picked, so it's not a problematic system if implemented, and it has command control still.
