Is it allowed to put ranks and nicknames in IC names, or should it just be the character's real name?
I think it's fine to name a corporal Crp. Johnson (or Corporal Johnson) since I see a lot of them, but what about John "Johnny" Johnson? That would probably be strange for a CO/medical/civilian job (except for mercs) but okay for mercs and factions.
Or even just Johnny for a mercenary? The latter feels especially wack but well, in real world it was/is pretty common for mercenaries to hide their real names. Same thing applies to rogues.
What about having a military rank in mercenary name, suggesting that the character is retired?
