Material from "boring loot" has been tweaked to enable bananium, bluespace, and diamond at humanly possible probabilities. They should not be superior to mining but should still be attainable with enough happenstance. Durathread was made slightly more common.

5k and 10k point Tech disks were made more common.

Liquid oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide cans were reintroduced to canister spawn tables.

More changes and tweaks will occur further down the line. Gripes and feedback here may help in directing these changes. Currently I plan on visiting non-material crate types / loot and reintroducing them. Basic medkits, animal cubes, and mundane resupplies are candidates for reintroduction.

#

currently I'd love to know how the material and disk changes feel primarily compared to mining. are the probabilities too effective? or are they happenstance enough to not depend on vs mining?

reweighted things to establish further brevity in the materials, side effect of just slightly biasing durathread and bananium more (not significant)

reweighted liquid gas tanks to be twice as common and reduced weight of their non-liquid counterparts such that the liquid versions "fill in" the lost weight, this means plasma, nitrous oxide, trit, and frezon cans aren't displaced in rarity by liquid gas cans

investigation of loot table structures begins

i always did wrecks with my crew for general loot and having to go mine JUST for bananium/diamonds and that was such a chore

#

im personally very glad for this change 😌

i wouldn't recommend depending on it but there will be occasions where you get a hit rather than never

Sadly.
I do not see major difference with the new main t lockers.
Crates that are no time limit are indeed cool.
But I t's like... loot is same?
Maybe I haven't gone through many wrecks(I haven't been salvage maxing for a while)
But im seeing no major difference in maintenance locker spawn contents - it's been junk, its still junk, im not getting any vibes that they are worth checking into.

yeah most of the improvement has aimed at making the loot more interesting, not necessarily treasures that catch the eye

#

and i maybe balanced it too hard towards people who powergame salvage

#

also the item pool is mostly stuff that i wanted to see in the lockers for myself

I'm perfectly willing to receive feedback on things other players want to encounter however

#

the most expensive item i got, recenelty, from salvage main lockers... Is double barrel.
And thats std. loot already.

#

as for itneresting loot - pills already were a thing?never got the 10 pills one

gleaming yew
#

10 pills is part of the gun loot gacha pool as a dilution thing

#

I'm hoping over time as i dilute the pool more that i can raise the gacha pull rate

#

but it's difficult coming up with things to put into said pool, maybe I'll take things out of the super rare pool and put them into the normal pool like chameleon kit backpack for example

interesting thing.
Today I found... 2 maint lockers at one spot.
1 seemed defaut, other one had monkey cubes in it(Which I believe is part of new maint locker things)
So...
it spawns both old and new main lockers at wrecks rn?

gleaming yew

no i replaced old lockers with the new one, and the new one is basically the old one with a much more expanded loot pool, with more chance to find the uncommon stuff

#

old lockers exist in pois such as baikal

#

this update is so peam

#

its actually worth visiting wrecks now for stuff other than materials!

Sadly, its still very rare to see anything worthwhile in main lockers as most of it is the tools, plush toys, strange pills (Which are, due to rng, mostly useless and even if its omnizine / polyprinium olighomers(or how tits called) , due to very low amount - not entirely useful.
I haven't been salvage maxxing, but I have been opening every main locker since the update in hope of finding something good.
I opened all lockers on what.. 30? 40? wrecks? Most of them are large ones.

Yes, it's not 200-300 and not logged to be able to DEFINITELY say if this update makes them worth checking every time now(+ it takes longer to loot, as you need to check if there is anything worth looting in first place... or else your inventory is all junk)

#

But for me it seems thatthe lockers are still gonna be a thing i am goign to just . . . ignore

gleaming yew
#

once again, i'm open to feedback on what you'd consider worth picking up because it's very much a first iteration currently

it's a bit of a tough balancing act because i potentially risk overshadowing exped loot with the salvmaint pool

Are guns in loot pool?
Afaik, they were, no?
