make stealth boarding a thing. with how slow jetpacks are its almost impossible to do a boarding action in a fight. Lots of the Rogue/TSF gear is really good for boarding and 90% of the time it goes unused because boarding is super difficult with the radar blips.

you can stealth board as long as your carefull. I like the jetpack IFF because so long as you dont see jetpack IFF they aren't ever expecting to be boarded which gives you a massive advantage

could lore it away with like "normal jetpacks have a component that broadcasts IFF that can't be removed or it stops functioning"

the tsfmc version could be like, a specialised black ops jetpack, and the rogue version would be a shitmodded version of a normal jetpack with a bunch of syndicate bullshit

I think the better way, if you exclusively want combat bording, would be to have boarding pods. IFF similar to ship projectiles. Just basically a chair-sittible component, with also the stick on wall on hit component. then something to launch it.

Boarding without diversion is really hard and it's normal
If you are boarding while the other is busy is really easy

bc rn board and breach is impossible in the midst of combat without the other ship being effectively inoperable

u either end up a pink mist or get gibbed from FTL and theres no counter to this

just make stealth packs just as expensive as good armor (like 20 FUCS for the TSF and however much for DB) and itll be harder to acquire but still an option for everyone if they need it and have the money for it

collision as a whole is jank as fuck and its this servers staple (one of them)

having a method of boarding centered around ramming into something seems like the last thing youd want on such a hard-to-manage system

i could see that being a bad idea also in a sense it creates needless grid issues

like having a ships gird expanded by using it with the stick on feature u speak of

i couldnt think of a smart method to stick a ship to something without it affecting the grid directly or as if it were latched in to like force creating an airlock
