I have a tamer theory: ||These meteors (aka Elfilis species) destroy planets by sinking continents, and Meteon's specifically aimed for the Last one for this planet. I think that part of the Ancient's overpopulation problem is because most of the land got destroyed by Elfilis (they at least did some damage to islands at first) until they got captured, and the scientist has to figure out how to save all the (human) lives asap. The fact that the meteor crashing into the ocean forms a volcano island is just a glimpse of the species' ability||
