Sidenote here is why I think Xenoblade Chronicles 1 solves Deltarune

|| I think it’s possible that the Deltarune could be something that is genuinely, corporeally attainable. And I think it will symbolize a very specific thing: freedom. ||

|| Freedom from fate (the prophecy, defying it, going against the script in the weird route) and freedom from entrapment (Kris being a prisoner of their own body, Spamton being in strings, Jevil being in his own cage, Dess possibly being trapped wherever she is, etc.)

Hence when Gaster says he sees it nearing. His Deltarune. He’s talking about his own freedom.||

||Doing a violent route makes the egg unobtainable. (Pretty sure it's already unobtainable if you're doing the chapter after doing the weird route). The shadowguys straight up disappear from many sections after escaping from Tenna, like in the bar, Lightners Live stage and more. Tenna is straight up dead after this chapter, since you can't bring him to Castle Town, and neither can't he be fixed during Chapter 4.||

Ok so on the subject of recruiting... how does it work?

Because even on a purely aggressive playstyle, ignoring chapter 1, we still get some characters from later dark worlds into our castle town

i think, since the dark worlds are inherently more video game-y, some things are just pure video game mechanics
like dark dollars. these aren't actual light world objects transformed in the dark worlds, and kris isn't phyiscally carrying thousands of them. they're just game mechanics

(it could also just be darkners choosing to not "materialize" in dark worlds cause they're mad you beat them up)

there's some characters like hacker that are like "I will come visit your city" so I feel like some of them can just like. Choose to be in your dark world. somehow. how the hell these things choose to flee or move in is beyond me

First you needed to have been in an earlier puzzle where, as NES Susie, you would throw a box to a (for now) inaccessible piece of land.

Next You have to take the southern "exit" of the green room at the point of the story where it's tinted blue, into the purple carpet area. There, past the camera NPC is a spotlight. Get caught on purpose, tell the guard to go nowhere. It allows you to play with the other side of that previous NES Puzzle. Solve that, then do whatever else in that room...

I think people tend to recommend mantle on susie but kris is viable as well. other than that it's just a matter of getting good enough at the patterns that you can survive until the end||

Chapter 4 ||Is it bad that I pretty much immediately guessed what kind of person Carol was as soon as I saw how wealthy the Holiday mansion looked (watching a friend play through the game across streams)||
