so the toy version of G1 Optimus had this white stripe on the truck that was also present in robot mode
when designing the character models for the G1 characters, they used a picture that had both a finished G1 Prime in robot mode and a prototype G1 Prime in alt mode in the same picture
the prototype prime did not have the white stripe on the truck, so in the show Prime has no stripe on the truck and that gray thing under his windows in robot mode which is meant to be the stripe from the toy (although some episodes randomly had the stripe on the truck for whatever fucking reason but the 86 movie doesn't so)

nexus prime: i dig the head design and the transparent shield with a gun mounted on it. I'd love to have a figure of him

solus prime: her purple and yellow mix is eye candy. Also nice hammer, could be a lil bigger tho
