The reason Void Termina is seen as a destroyer and that Hyness wanted it to create a new country for his people at first is cause of the whole thing about Jamba Hearts making dimensions. But it doing its job in an existing universe would destroy it.

Did the Extra mode actually change anything drastically with the levels because i remember just getting thrown off by the first level changes and then every level after that felt the same as the Main Mode. Of course there is small things like another dimension sections being harder and less food pickups.
