I'm probably not gonna win on the "creative" side of the judging but I want to give this contest a shot

and I've been dying for a reason to draw something kirby related

I, personally, love seeing people take a stab at characters from the older games that haven't come back since. Efreezi is a cutie

I went for a Super Star miniboss because it's the one I had the best idea for, but the DL2 ones are really fun and I had a good few of them on my "maybe" list

like. im not good at thinking of ideas on the spot

and then i realized "oh wait i can just make gorimondo rajang" and i went teehee

but i was surprised at how much of gorimondo's moveset matched rajang's

If you're not sure what we mean, we have some examples of elemental bosses that already exist in Kirby below. You are not limited to the elements that have already been used in Kirby, so feel free to get creative with it! Tell us what the name of your enemy is. Feel free to include any additional details as you wish.

Winners will be selected based on creativity, not art style, at the end of August/the beginning of September. The winners will receive the usual Challenge roles (check #important-information for more info).

I'm gonna make six artwork to showcase most of Aerial General's attacks! Here's the first one up:

First up is ||Propel Blade Slash! Aerial General enlarges one of its blades, performs a slash attack, and even sends gusts similar to sword beams.||

Also before anyone asks, yes I did make almost everything in Inkscape, barring some few assets from the HUD

Second attack demonstration is up!
||Typhoon Install Device - These small mines that Aerial General launches out can turn into stationary Mach Tornadoes that can trap Magolor and deal some chain damage if you're not careful. Watch out!||

Third attack demonstration is up!
||Propel Blade Boomerang + Aerial Striker - Showcasing two attacks here, Aerial General can launch out his blades like boomerangs, and use the airplane wing guns for an airstrike attack.||

Anyways, calling it a night. I'll showcase more attacks in the morning, and I'll eventually make a Phase 2!

Fourth attack demonstration is up!
||Zephyr Bit & Obscure Missile - Metal Bit returns with new drones that spit out spark lightning. Meanwhile, Aerial General's missiles generate clouds that obscure the screen, which can be removed with Magolor Surge or similar attacks.||

Fifth attack demonstration is up!
||Fighter Jet Destruction Special - Aerial General transforms into a full-on fighter jet and zooms around the arena! It may also fly in from the sides in case it wants to be this freaking sadistic.||

I'll demonstrate two more artworks and we can call it finished, okay?

My classes are fast approaching tomorrow, so...

I'll also be making a reference sheet too for the submission!

Sixth attack demonstration is up!
||Rotor Sweep - Sweeping propeller rotors similar to Sectonia's ring attack! Sometimes, Aerial General may combine this attack with Obscure Missile, making discerning of their trajectory a little harder!||

Finally the last attack!
||Incoming EF Five - This is Aerial General's strongest offensive, and it's incredibly dangerous! It's a giant Mach Tornado that zooms into the background and even goes around the arena. Should Magolor or Kirby get caught in it, they'll take LOTS of damage. Watch out for debris that may come along with this attack!||

Aerial General's home dimension is Galeteal Dimension. This is part of a potential plan where I plan to complete the level acronym stuff further, intent on spelling it as "GEM APPLE"

I came up with Gusteal and Mistopaz for the G and M, but had a hard time coming up with something that starts with E for a cavern/cold and dark themed level

Going to share some ideas of an elemental mid-boss variation before I draw/sketch them (despite there being only one day left lol). Won't dive into it much as this popped in my head on the spot and that I believe there're other submissions way more creative than mine .

Not sure if this would be acceptable in the challenge nor know if there was already similar idea mentioned in here, but heck it . Ink!Squishy mid-boss, to put it more clearly, an ink variant of a Squishy that can shoot ink at Kirby to damage and maybe hinder his vision, and can also hide in ink to uppercut Kirby afterwards. To put it even more clearly, it's an obvious reference to Splatoon (with maybe a hint of the Mario Blooper enemy) . I was considering maybe using Artist or Poison as the element beforehand, but I guess I didn't really want to make the character alluded too much or something(?), plus new made-up things are cool... though I guess Kirby could get either of the abilities if he manages to inhale it .

I was thinking of doing a fire-based Kracko, where instead of a cloud it would be smoke, and the horns would be replaced with little volcanos

mostly inspired by how for some reason Kracko was the boss of Mustard Mountain but had no changes to reflect the environment

so I would have tried to make it fit into that better

Extra lore: After the Haltmann Works Company bought out the studio behind the original Computer Virus program, this new version was ordered to be the boss of Overload Ocean. Due to unexpected hiccups in development however, it got pushed back enough so that Susie had to step in as the boss while the developers crunched to get a somewhat stable release.

Yukkuri is saying that you can use sprays an alt colors, but it has to be a combo that's possible.

Like, if a color is only in Air Ride, it should also be a drawing of Kirby with an ability etc from Air Ride.

Or if you want to draw Mecha from RtDX, you should stick to one of the colors in that game
