When I needed to get an OP4 Amigo Sincero for my Zer0 to help with Digi Peak, I loaded an old copy of my OP10 Salvador, turned it down to OP4, and readonly farmed on it.

1 point is enough if you just want melee attacks to fuck off but horrible scaling

Backdraft is niche, the fire nova is alright but as Maya, you don't really want to get in close range unless you plan on doing a funny melee

Immolate is strong if you plan on abusing FFYL a lot but generally used for bossing more than mobbing since Maya can second wind from Cloud Kill and slag in most cases alone

Recompense is used for like...Haderax
if you dont plan on doing that cheese, its kinda the same as Backdraft, niche

Would suggest Suspension if using Thoughtlock and Sub-Sequence to chain provoke personally
Sweet Release is pretty valuable when solo and the extra points can kinda go anywhere from there; Sustenance and Life Tap can make Maya less reliant on Moxxi weapons

if you plan on playing mostly with Hellborn melee, you probs want Fire Fiend for melees to ignite and Buzz Axe Bombardier is usually a free pick since it increases throw axe's dmg a lot for enemies not resistance to grenade/explosive dmg

It's not that I don't pay attention to the rarity, the vast majority of gear I find is just outclassed by what I already have most of the time or isn't compatible with my build, hence I change gear very rarely. For instance, most snipers I find are at most 2/3 the damage of mine and RPGs are often 1/3 to 1/4 the damage of the one I already use.

i typically look at damage, fire rate and especially reload to decide if i want to use something, less what manufacture it is

I know that, but especially in those two examples, finding something that still gets the same or better dps with such comparibly lesser damage is extraordinarily rare in my experience

• I generally don't like Maliwan weapons, which is entirely on me (and partly also on me playing melee Zer0)
• At least as it stands right now, nothing beats Jakobs sniper rifles for me.
