Honestly it's chrollo making defensive moves that's screwing up defence. Look at pretty much any defensive move chrollo thought up. I love being able to defend but at this point lock is an offensive style disguised as a defensive one.

Chrollo makes his styles generic as sin, he has like 3-4 of the same ideas every time he makes a style. Generic dribble/movement, generic shot, generic defensive ability (usually broken if he actually makes it), and generic passing ability.
And tatlis doing too much is a good thing, that means he's trying to make it fun.
Gimmicky styles are fun.
