How to Increase Player Count in Basketball Zero | How to Attract New Players

The main goal of this suggestion is to deliver the idea to the dev leads (Chrollo and Tatlis) that the game could potentially reach over 100K+ concurrent players, instead of staying around 30–50K.
This is my first time submitting a suggestion like this, and I haven’t checked if someone already posted a similar idea, so I apologize in advance if this has already been mentioned.

Problem: The Current-Drop System
The Current-Drop system isn’t bad, but unfortunately, it mainly serves as a money sink without offering real player growth. From what I’ve seen, it may have brought in only around 2,000 new players, which clearly isn’t worth the investment.

⚠️ I'm not saying it should be removed entirely. Just reduce the budget for it and reallocate those resources into a new approach.

New Proposal: "Current-TikTok/YT" System
So what makes this idea different from just paying streamers to promote the game? Simple:
You’re currently spending a lot on sponsored streams that bring in minimal ROI.
What if instead, that money went into a TikTok/YouTube Shorts Creator Contest?

How to Run It
Run a 1-month content contest. Here's a rough example of how it could work:

For every TikTok or YT Short that reaches 50,000 views, the creator receives $10.

This could scale, for example:

100K views = $20

250K views = $50

Come up with your own reward tiers or formulas for fairness.

Rules to Prevent Abuse
Require video performance proof/screenshots for payouts.

Set strict conditions to avoid view-botting or fake engagement.

Use a unique hashtag (e.g., #BasketballZeroMoney) to track contest entries.

Ban reposted clips or videos about update codes/showcases — only original creative content allowed:

Funny moments

Challenges

Gameplay tricks or memes

Set duration limits: e.g. minimum 30 seconds, maximum 60.

All clips must be made specifically for this contest, not recycled edits.

Most Important: Include CIS Creators
Make sure CIS region creators (Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, etc.) are eligible for payment.
Right now, many creators in these countries are excluded from sponsored events or streams — and that’s a missed opportunity.
The CIS community makes up at least 50% of your player base. Ignoring them is just bad business.

Why Will This Work?
Because it already works — and even better than paid ads:

TikTok trends are how most Roblox players find new games now.

Random "funny moments" or "challenge" videos can go viral in hours.

Modes like “Steal Brainrot” got 2 million peak purely from meme clips.

Minecraft gained huge popularity through YouTubers — and no one even paid them.

You’re targeting a player base that scrolls TikTok Shorts way more than they watch 20-minute YouTube videos.

Personal Story
I’m just a high schooler, and I discovered Basketball Zero thanks to a TikTok video that had over 10K likes.
I thought it looked cool — downloaded the game, and even invited friends.
Now imagine that effect on a global scale.

Please consider this seriously.
This could easily raise the player count from 30K to 80K daily, or even more.
