Makunouchi Ippo-Inspired Style (Limited-Time)
Based on Ippo from Hajime no Ippo, this style is meant as a meme pick—more hands than hoops. It’s still balanced, just absurdly physical. Think brawler on the court.
Ability 1: Liver Blow
A clash move where both players face off (via CPS/key mash/etc). If Ippo wins, the opponent takes a liver blow and gets stunned. If Ippo loses, he’s stunned instead. Simple, high-risk, high-reward.
- The move can be repeated if the user wins the clash but it gets way harder for them to win each time they repeat
Ability Variant: Footwork
This is a variant where Ippo dashes to the ball like instinct dash allowing for great mobility and can be used to steal
Ability 2: Willpower
Grants the user:
- 35% steal resistance
- Extra dribble
- 45% steal chance (fail = no stun)
- Unblockable dunks
- Way faster off-ball speed
- Can block posterizer/post form dunks
Notes:
- Two Ippo users clashing during dunks triggers an air battle (like Kagami vs Aomine).
- Failed steals against high resistance don’t trigger ankle breakers.
Drawbacks:
- 35% slower dribble (can be negated by Gold Vision, Speed Dribble, etc.)
- 1 in 50 chance to fumble after a dribble
- Slightly longer shot windup (can be reduced by Quick Draw/Chaos)
- Player glows with an aura while active—easily spotted
Awakening
1) Sequential Destruction
Performs a cinematic beatdown:
- Dempsey Roll on 2 players
- Liver Blow on 1
- Gazelle Punch on 1
- All 3 on the last one
Then charges upfield while everyone’s stunned. Clean.
2) Inhumane Resolve
Cutscene hits. Ippo's eyes glow with raw resolve. Willpower goes next level:
- 100% steal resistance & chance
- Guaranteed ankle breakers
- Auto-win clashes vs Ippo users (until move ends)
- No stun from steals or enemy moves
Awakening Notes:
- Replaces Willpower with Inhumane Resolve
- Liver Blow always lands unless countered by Resolve
- Ippo in awakening can always block another Ippo's dunk
