With the release of the new Emperor style and the addition of the "Force Shot" move — plus the noticeable drop in popularity of the Sniper style — I think it’s perfect to introduce a unique chemical reaction between Emperor and Sniper styles. The move would draw heavy inspiration from the iconic scene in Kuroko no Basket: Last Game, where Midorima begins his high-arcing shot without the ball and Akashi delivers a perfectly timed pass at the peak of his jump. The combo is completely unguardable — and it’d be an amazing homage in both style and gameplay. Not only would it be visually hype, but it would also make perfect sense in terms of character relationships, since Akashi and Midorima are probably the closest among the Generation of Miracles in the anime.
In-game, the combo could work like this: the Emperor-style player must be outside the three-point line and activate the "Ultimate Pass" ability. At the same time, the Sniper-style player also needs to be beyond the arc but within half court, with a defender in front of them and their High-Arch Shot fully charged. When the ultimate pass is used right it triggers a cinematic combo — something dramatic, similar in energy to the current Sniper ultimate.
Taking directly from the movie, the Sniper player could say: "Since we first pulled this off, I’ve never doubted his passes. But the same can be said for you, [Emperor player username]."
Overall, this would add another layer of hype to the already exciting Emperor style, reinforce its identity as a pass-heavy playmaker build, and breathe new life into the Sniper style, which, to be honest, doesn’t see much use in higher ELO lobbies anymore.
Please leave anything else maybe some ideas for animations and effects in the comments of this post but lets get this added!
