Cyberrunner (David Martinez) Style (Rework In Progress 🔥)

Explanation on the rework:
it’s going to make David more focussed on being a strong all rounder. Team support, Defence and Attacking, using his speed to be anywhere and everywhere on the court at once

What will happen to the old kit
I’m going to put it into a google doc called the Legacy Kit, so that if anyone has problems with the new rework they can read that and maybe give feedback and I might change moves depending on reception of the rework

After finally deciding on it
REWORKED KIT STRUCTURE
David’s on the ball will have an Offensive move and a team based move and off the ball he’ll purely be defensive, one being selfish defence other being team defence.
In AWK David will have his moves changed and gain a 3rd move. One will be pure offence, one pure defence and the final move will be like Lock’s Clamp, a defensive move that can score if used close enough to the hoop

Cyber (David Martinez) Style REWORKED!!

#

Effects:
Leave behind multicoloured afterimages of yourself while moving during a move, any other effects are a green tinted glitch effect

Skill 1, Cybernetic Enhancements:
Can be used with or without the ball
Sprint in a zigzag pattern down the court, ankle breaking any attempts at stealing. When used off the ball, the start up and movement is slightly faster and if makes contact with an opposing player with the ball, steal it unless they dribble resulting in you getting ankle broken. Perform a special dunk if used into the paint

Skill 2.A, Upgraded Reflexes:
Can be activated while opposing team has possession when the ball is passed
When timed correctly, Cyberrunner sprints towards the ball and snatches it mid air and now has possession of the ball.

Skill 2.B, Cyber Speed:
Can be used within 3 seconds of successfully landing ‘Upgraded reflexes’ while in possession of the ball
Sprint almost instantly in a straight line at unreactable speed

Skill 2.C, Hand off:
Can be used with the ball
When looking at a teammate, you can dash towards them for 1.5 seconds. If you don't reach them, you keep the ball, but if you make it to them, hand off the ball to that teammate and continue to run for another second. This ankle breaks and the hand off cannot be interrupted and no intercepting moves affect it

Awakening:
Can be used without the ball
Cyber holds the top of his head in pain leaning back as his eyes and face begin to glitch out. The camera gets a low shot, showing his entire body glitching as he says “Fast is what I do best…” the camera then moving to a close shot of his head as he brings his hands down over his face lowering his head. His face is now blacked out besides a yellow/orange glow from his eyes as he speaks: “Guess I’ll just keep running”

Effects:
The player’s head occasionally glitches out, dribbling now leaves behind the afterimages and his effects are a lot more glitched looking

AWK Skill 1, Cybernetic Enhancements (AWK variant):
During the off the ball version, it now becomes a guaranteed steal playing a small cinematic when it happens:
The player with the ball runs down the courts only for the ball to get snatched in an instant as it cuts to a wide freeze frame of Cyber behind that player now with the ball running

AWK Skill 2, Ultimate Cyberpower (replaces Upgraded Reflexes):
Can be used while the ball is in enemy possession
The player with the ball attempts to pass to a teammate, but as they do, time slows everybody, everything becoming a green tint, as Cyber walks over to where the ball is and grabs it mid pass as time resumes to normal speed. To everyone else, he just sped across the court like a blur.
When close to the 3 point line, the same animation plays till the end where instead of time resuming, Cyber runs up to the hoop with everything resuming as he’s about to dunk. The player he stole from turning around just in time to see him dunk the ball in

AWK Skill 3, Overload:
Can be used with someone in front of you at the 3 point line
Cyber breathes heavy as he glitches slightly, staring down the defenders, before then screaming and fully glitching out and driving down into the paint. As the defenders go to rush him, they all stop, the background turning into a green tint as all of them are frozen and Cyber sprints past them. We then get a close up as he slams his foot to the ground and he gets an enhanced jump from one of his cybernetic upgrades and dunks the ball two handed, ending the super speed. Once it ends, it all plays back at normal speed, showing Cyber blitzing past the defenders and leaving them on the floor

#

Zone, Upgraded:
Gain an extra dribble, Faster movement speed, Faster Stamina recovery and cooldowns recharge 10% faster

**Effect: **
A glitchy electric aura with lights traveling up the player’s back

It’s only like that in Ult. In base it works like Star’s dash but because it’s also your dribble, it’s a choice of do you risk going for the steal or do you save it for your drive. The other steal move works like Lock’s intercept meaning you actually have to time it and it only works on passes

You mightve changed it as I'm writing this i only read the initial suggestion but he hand off part of the dash isn't too good, maybe if it was a pass if you enter a certain range of a teammate it'd be fine but the idea of just handing a teammate the ball isn't too favorable

It's just meant to be a good ground covering move. Say you and a teammate down the court are covered and you have the ball, you can 'Hand Off', running to your teammate like instinct dash, making opposing players ankle break when they try to steal and the ball can't be intercepted by ANY method cause you didn't pass or shoot it. Then with the post speed boost you can cover ground even further and make distance between you and your team

SIMPLIFIED KIT
Skill 1, Cybernetic Enhancements:
Run in a zigzag shape (Barou’s King Dribble or Kaiser’s Off the Ball in Azure latch is best reference) and when used off the ball it can steal. Does a special dunk when used into the paint

Skill 2.A, Upgraded Reflexes:
If opponent passes the ball to a teammate, if you time to button right, steal the ball mid air. ONLY on passes

Skill 2.B, Cyber Speed:
After ‘Upgraded Reflexes’, dash a short distance in a straight line almost instantly

Skill 2.C, Hand off:
Sprint towards selected teammate and hand them the ball, if successful, keep sprinting for 1 second

AWK Skill 1, Cybernetic Enhancements (AWK variant):
Becomes a guaranteed steal with a small cinematic when performed

AWK Skill 2, Ultimate Cyberpower (replaces Upgraded Reflexes):
When enemy player has the ball, perform a cutscene and steal it off them. If they are close to their hoop, score a dunk in the cutscene

AWK Skill 3, Overload:
A free 2 point cutscene that can be done at the 3 point line with a player in front of you

I mean one of them is basically Lock's base move and the other Flash's awakening.

Personally, I prefer replacing the stealing pass move, with mode or gaining distance move. Like activating Sandevistan mode where you get increased dribbling speed, increased walk-speed, and emperor defense steal. Lasts for 40 secs.

Clear some things up. Yes he has moves similar to Lock, reasons being that Lock is my main and I love him also he’s one of the more balanced styles in the game so taking inspiration from him kinda makes it easier to not worry about being super duper OP

The reason he doesn’t have a buff or speed boost is because we have been FLOODED with those: Chrollo, Lazy Worker, Quick, Perfection. 3 of those being consecutive updates plus he’s more about instant super fast moments of speed rather than prolonged buffs and running. At one point I was thinking of a CyberPsycho mode similar to Chrollo’s Chaos but since we just got that I decided to scrap it

He already has a distance gaining move that would work effectively and can be used on and off the ball, plus then it gets buffed while in your AWK (I should specify that more that it speeds up and goes further)

He’s not meant to be an offensive or defensive god, he’s meant to be an amazing all rounder like Emperor

So in AWK: he keeps his movement ability but now it’s off the ball variant is a GUARANTEED steal. His 2nd move is similar to Lock’s Clamp where it’s a steal move but at the hoop it scores and then his 3rd move is a 2 point cutscene

"All it has" that's just gold vision with off the ball speed (which is rlly good in itself) plus stamina recovery so you xan use more of these broken dribbles
