Honestly from my perspective there is a lot of skill to the game. A lot of it just comes from team play and stuff like that. I think the simplistic nature certainly allows the game to seem more casual but I think a lot of that comes from the game only having ācasual playā. But Iāve played in lobbies Iād consider pretty high level with a friend who I play with all the time. Those games challenge us compared to like 99% of games that donāt. A lot of it comes from passing and team play that makes you have to think more. But if every game felt like this I think it would be less fun. If every game was a mechanical fight for my life Iām confident I wouldnāt be playing daily.
HOWEVER! The other 99% of games lowkey can suck. When we play together or heck when I play alone more often than not Iām winning by 20 because the skill gap is too large. So I understand your point but I think that there is already enough skill itās just in other places. I will also say I as a mostly supportive player would like a change to passing as well. Just not sure where Iād want it.

there is a lot of skill to the game, but its only shown to its fullest when your playing in scrims. I recommend you join a team and play there that way you can have both competetive play and players surrounding you to learn from :)
Tho if you sweat out public lobbies your skill tends to lean more towards duking and getting 3s through blockers rather than the team-play aspect

to me the game is less about shooting and more about getting to a point where you are able TO score. Ive played a lot of 4v4 with skilled players and with proper marking it makes it really difficult to get into a position to shoot without getting blocked or intercepted. also nerrfing 3 pointers does noit make any sense to me. it limits the amount of area you can shoot from greatly, encourage passing, and worse comes to worse you can dribble into the 2 point zone to score.
