#Requesting refund for credit consumption

Hey team 👋 I'm a new user who just exhausted my trial credits building an app called Imin, and I wanted to flag two issues that I think justify a credit refund or top-up.

1️⃣ The Expo Go preview didn't work — the QR code and link both failed due to a coding error on the platform side, meaning I was never able to test the app at all despite the build appearing to complete.

2️⃣ The agent kept stopping mid-build to ask clarifying questions, even though I had explicitly instructed it multiple times to build the full app in one go without pausing. Each interruption burned credits without moving the app forward.

Neither of these were mistakes on my end — I followed the instructions, provided all my API keys upfront (Firebase, Mapbox, Supabase), and gave a very detailed brief. I ended up spending my entire credit allowance on a build I still can't preview or test.

I'm really keen to keep building on Emergent and can see the potential — I just need enough credits to get the basic app working and testable on Expo Go. Happy to share screenshots of the errors and the conversation if that helps.

please disregard @bronze zephyr's request to reach out to support just yet.

There are a few things I want to clarify for you to clear things up so you understand how Emergent works.

  • AI Agents can make mistaks as they are not human.

  • Before you write any prompt to the AI agent to build your application it's very important to understand the differences between each AI model and how many credits are used per request, Prompt and more.

Now for the AI Stuff:

  • When you go to build your idea into an application make sure you select the following if you don't want to burn your credits away really fast but in return you get much more accurate results Opus 4.5/4.6 will give you much higher accurate results but at a much higher credit cost which is the trade off. With Sonnet 4.5/4.6 you will get accurate results but less credits are consumed this is the other trade off. So if you don't want to spend tons of money on your project(s) these two AI Models are what you should consider when thinking about your app ideas.

  • AI Agents should not be using credits when it's pausing Support will be able to check this for you when you email them Make sure you let them know otherwise they will not know to check this server side for your session with the AI agent.
